Why is Riot hidding our MMR?

I know that this topic/thread has been repeated and reposted here and in reddit all over this past years, but seriously, what statement did Riot make when hidding our MMR/ELO from our profiles? I'd really love to have that feature back and im pretty sure im not the only one thinking about this feature.

The fact that some of us that really want to keep track of how bad or good our MMR goes need to check third party websites with slow APIs and wrong ELO formulas like OP.GG or others make me angry man... cmon Riot all you gotta do is make a single 3 or 4 digit number visible once again man!
