Why is Riot hidding our MMR?

I know that this topic/thread has been repeated and reposted here and in reddit all over this past years, but seriously, what statement did Riot make when hidding our MMR/ELO from our profiles? I'd really love to have that feature back and im pretty sure im not the only one thinking about this feature.

The fact that some of us that really want to keep track of how bad or good our MMR goes need to check third party websites with slow APIs and wrong ELO formulas like OP.GG or others make me angry man... cmon Riot all you gotta do is make a single 3 or 4 digit number visible once again man!

Is this from PBE?

I am sure they're doing this to try to eliminate some toxicity but it isn't clearly going to do anything.

That looks like the original game, before they hid the MMR.

This screenshot is from a Dyrus stream from Season 2. Which clearly shows what am i talking about.

I disagree with you in that place. I think having those numbers raising or going down its better than having a feeling of anxiety when you cannot complete your series or you are standing at 0LP. Lots of friends or acquaintances of mine stood at 0lp for weeks because dont want to go lower.

Imo, thats better, like, losing 26MMR points than getting demoted and then having to play at least 5 games **without ** losing to get where you were at first place.
