Please help me understand Aurelion Sol further.
Alright so Sol i've seen tanky but is that the thing? Also can he top if so what items?

Dolasaur1 votesHe wouldn't make a great top. He has no escape from ganks (if the enemy has traded with you in the past 6 seconds or so). You also lose the choice of lanes to roam to. He's also weak to sticky bruisers with dashes and interrupting CC, which are fairly common top lane. (He can kite them well enough later with R and Rylai's, but you might be 0-4 before you get there.)
It's not impossible to play him top lane. Just a lot of reasons he's not meta.
