Having troubles in the jungles after preseason release.

Hey guys, I just wanted to start off with this is not a post about COMPLAINING. I'm looking for legit advice. I have a team member, which is our jungler, that has had problems starting off since the preseason changes. He usually starts on krugs (mostly because bot side usually starts there) he's tried the talisman vs the machete and there is no noticeable change in the clear. Basically, he almost dies to red buff every time. We've gone over his masteries and they seem correct but if anyone has advice to get the clear he was getting please let me know... Anything helps.

(Here's a list of junglers we have tried so far JarvanIV Zac Chogath LeeSin He also plays RekSai Amumu Gragas Elise Olaf Vi ) Thank you again!

Do a delayed clear so you have smite up for red. Until you get your hunters pots and upgraded smite, clearing the jungle is a little tough. Once you get those things, however, clearing becomes a breeze.

I suggest starting machete pretty much no matter what; most champions have similar ad at level 1, so the lifesteal against monsters is pretty much the same if you are playing ekko or yi. If you can try to secure scuttle, you go a long way because thats a bunch of free heath to get back. I usually go krugs, lizards, scuttle, red and still have a pot afterwards. Granted, I've been jungleing jax and shyvana primarily, so I am taking auto attack heavy champions. I don't really know how the tank junglers will pan out; I still say start machete, but maybe take blue first for mana. It might also be necessary to back after one buff and either upgrade your hunters pot or your smite.

Also, make sure you take the reduced damage vs monsters in the resolve tree. It essentially saves you +2 health +4 health, +6 and +8 at the different camps every time they auto attack; this saves a HUGE amount of health in the long run.

My vi jg. 9 armor, 9 Mr, 3 quints AD, 6 marks armor pen, 3 marks AS. Start krugs with leash but immediately cast smite at start. Take E. Do razor camp next (birds). Use potion before or during. Smite should nearly be up so go do Red. The health return from smiting it should let you walk away with at least half health and a remaining potion. The jungle was nerfed a bit so it should be easier. The problem is the items for jungle turn it into a farm fest because of the gold cost.

I've only played WW and Fid so far in the new jg, and that was on PBE - both of them cruised through, but in the S5 masteries I could forgo pots on both of them and just run through the clear, now I found that I need a pot to help sustain through my first clear on both and Fid goes dry on mana by the 3rd camp. Still testing though.
