i was gold 4, why am i silver 1 now?

hi i was just wondering, if last season i was gold 4 with 22 lp why did i drop to silver 1 when i won 6 and lose 4 in provisionals, i thought if u won at least 5 you would stay the same tier. thanks

Are you kidding me? I got placed in bronze 3, took a day and a half to go to silver 5 and then silver 3. and you CANT go from silver 1 to gold 5?

It's a soft reset which means you are almost guaranteed to drop rank. Your drop isn't that bad though so you shouldn't worry too much about getting back up.

i got 3 accounts that i have to get back to where it was before, and i did good in all 3 provisionals just kinda makes me sad

all were gold

one i went 7-3, another 6-4 and last 8-2 and all ended up in silver 1 despite being gold 4-5 last season

friend of mine was D1 @ 60lp and went 4/6 in placements. he dropped down to plat 3. xD

Not really worried about being dropped in rank.

I mena I have gotten an account to gold in 35 games and that was with messing around in some of the placements.
