Doesn't the ranked reset seem a bit too much?

Season 4 I was gold and season 5 I did my placements and got placed gold. This season I did my placements and was placed one whole tier lower in silver 3 while being Gold 3 last season. (never mind that I was plat in LAN) I have a friend who was Plat 4 and got placed silver 4. This seems ridiculous.

It seems that Riot for this season purposely made everyone drop a whole tier. I keep playing in ranked with people who were gold last season, but are now silver. I have yet to hear of anyone who stayed in their tier.

Is silver the new Gold? Did you stay in Gold?

No it doesnt. All of the streamers are learning some humility. Its fucking great.

Yes they place you lower on purpose but they also make it easy to climb back up. I was Plat V at the end of season 5 and got placed in Silver II. Now I am already back in Gold I because I got 26-35 LP for every win and never lost more than 15 LP for a loss. Also skipped 2 divisions (Gold iV and Gold II).
