Yasuo's windwall

So, recently i playedYasuo in mid against Kayle in normal and i had this issue that my W didn't block her E. I want to know if it is supposed to be like that or its just a bug. :)

Kayle's E does not caused her AAs to create projectiles, so it would not be blocked by Yasuo's Wind Wall. Working as intended.

Really? I thought they are projectiles because... you know they are ranged. anyway thanks!

doesn't block mordes E either im like 95% sure

You'd be correct. Morde simply does damage in a cone in front of him. He fires no projectiles for the ability, so it cannot be blocked. Same with Annie's W and Cho's W, but it does work against Talon's E because that creates projectiles.

didn't know that bout annie W. It was one of the abilities similar to the morde E that i was like "that DEF gets blocked"

good to know

Yep, no problem. Most cone abilities are not blocked by Wind Wall, so have fun :P

Range =/= projectile. Thresh's AA's also cannot be blocked by Yasuo's Wind Wall. Same with Vel'Koz's AA's and Azir's AAs, since they're lasers. The key thing to watch is whether or not there is a tangible object moving through space that's unattached to anything. That's generally a good rule of thumb.

Happy to help!

Projectile = Ranged, but Ranged =/= Projectile

A projectile is any non-unit object that has a travel time. Kayle's E makes her attacks ranged, but you don't see an actual projectile from her attacks.

Some other non-projectiles include Xerath's Q, Lux's ultimate, Vel'koz's ultimate, Brand's W, Mordekaiser's E...I could go on, but that's probably enough examples. These attacks are ranged, but they do not have a projectile. Instead, they have a delay before they strike the entire area, all at the same time.
