From one Ahri Main to another.

I've been maining Ahri since her release in s2 and have somewhere around 2k games with her since then in ranked alone. As s5 is approaching how do you all feel about where shes at right now. I feel like she can fit with just about any team comp and has no real "counters" in lane. Sure some lanes are harder than others but overall even if slightly behind, she can roam and get kills or just overall is useful in team fights with the ability to go in charm blow carry up and get out or zhonyas etc. while team follows up.

Right now, for me at least my hardest matchups are zed, a super aggressive LB (which most are), and high level mechanic yasuo players. I don't think she needs a buff or that she is overpowered at all. I believe she is very balanced at the moment and needs no changes. Just wondering what other Ahri main player's thoughts are on the fox.

You didn't hear, then. They're removing DFG from summoner's rift. Ahri's playstyle is effectively dead.

Btw when Zed ults you, try to time your charm for when he un-shadows so he's stuck under turret.

Also, not trying to be rude but you are in Bronze III I finished s4 in diamond, I know how to play against the champ and all the mechanics/playstyles involved with both champs. An equally skilled zed will always beat an equally skilled ahri barring any outside factors like jungle ganks.

No I heard, but I think they will compensate DFG dependent champs somehow. Also a good zed can flash your charm when he ults you if its up or even if he gets charmed he takes maybe half hp dmg at most simply because if you charm W Q under tower he blinks back and it negates most of the dmg and only takes 2 tower his at max. If your charm misses and he gets part of his ult combo off and still doesn't kill you, you are still left with less than half your hp and cannot sustain enough or keep up in farm without running the risk of dying due to his unlimited spam potential with him being an energy champion. I just feel like falling behind just the slightest against Zed makes it the hardest to come back from than any other champion currently in mid lane. You can't play aggressive against him as you will OOM way before you actually have kill potential on him or unless he is just a bad zed and you can charm + combo effectively often. But being at diamond level elo, you rarely see this happen with zed players and it basically just comes down to jungle presence that determines if you can win your lane or not against and equally or better skilled zed player.

Personally, I think Ahri's in a really good spot right now as well. The only thing I think needs to be done is tightening up her Q hitbox. I've hit so many Q's so CLEARLY missed.

I think she's in a great spot right now (even if you don't go DFG).

I'm actually excited for the changes because it means you can't DFG WRRR and pick up a kill just by being in their vincinity. It adds more to playing her properly.

As soon as DFG is deleted I'm going to rejoice because all the bad Ahri players who need DFG will have to adapt or move on to whatever else is strong.

Oh, and before you go into my match history and say, "But you get DFG here, here, and here." I like getting DFG for the luls. It's entertaining to completely blow up one person and your damage is stupidly high.

i resent that, i haven't been able to DFG - WRRR my enemy while throwing my skillshots purposely the other direction and still pick up a kill. Since those nerfs way back when. Even with having a 34-12-x score with full damage items no boots. Believe me when I'm extremely fed i try, to see some resemblance of how strong she was. But to not much avail..

I would say my harder lanes if mid and not top, would be a syndra/veigar main or a good jg shaco. Charm is scary. Especially with the knowledge that if she lands it, her damage is amplified by 20%. You do not wanna get hit by it. I see people flash, ghost, ult, leap away from it. If they didn't it would've landed. I like that playstyle imo, I've gotten used to it, scaring people with charm. They run from it, waste summoners for 1 skill shot, feels like a win.

I just feel like if they change Ahri cause of the DFG removal, either buffs to W R would be in order. Or increasing the damage of charm to something like morganas Q? or buff unavoidable dmg to be like her old aoe days? Either way, i feel like RIOT should keep an incentive for Ahri mains and newer Ahri players to want to land charm. period. We all seen what Ahri is like when she simply doesn't have to. Especially when shes THE only champion out of the entire roster of champions that is supposed to be played skillshot 1st. While other champions can freely apply damage to any enemy with no skillshot and not be looked down upon. So with that being the truth. Ahri buffs where? I've already noticed instances where if i had DFG i couldve just 1 shot people without having to use my ult. I wish the buffs would allow Ahri via charm 1shot people without DFG. So she doesn't have to waste her ult on assassinating someone even as a "mage". So she still has her ult for that nasty baron fight thats about to break out 4v5. Just my thoughts..
