training bots
anyone else think we need a wider range of champs when it comes to bots? I feel like there isnt a very wide variety vs how many there actually are. makes it kinda difficult to train against them other then strict pvp.

Why not all...
i agree, it should be pretty easy to just unlock them all.
Most people don't play bots. It's a low priority for Riot.

Most people WHO READ THESE BOARDS don't play bots. You might be surprised that there is large group who ONLY play bots. (I sometimes do bots for missions. It's happenned more than once that I become aware the the other 4 players represented a family.)
They tried to introduce more bots a few years ago, and many had bugs and needed to be retired. (Notably, the Yasuo bot tended to ragequit.) Some bots were retired when the champions were re-worked. Currently, we only have bots for about 1/3 of the roster.
You're right; it's apparently not a priority. Maybe it should be. Whatever function the co-op modes had when they were instituted, surely still exists.

now i understand why so many na people want nexus blitz back it seems to have been a big hit over there but not so much on other regions
Yeah, thinking about it i remember quite a bit of bugs with champs and some still do. But if they could figure out a way to fix them then i think it would be a pretty easy way for people to come up with effective play styles vs certian champs. At the moment the only way to try and practice vs certain champs is pvp and hoping you run across one, or a custom game vs a mate.
Most people dont play bots? So when you first started out you didnt do bot games to learn new champs? Or bot games to come up with moves to counter certain champs? New account but old player here, strategy is a key concept for this game and while it may be a "low priority" because not as many people play bots, this in no way effect PVP games. Its something quick, free, and increases the overall players satisfaction with the game. So why not?

I didn't say no one ever plays bots, and I didn't say I never play bots (I do, frequently), and I didn't say few people have ever played bots.
But the co-op vs AI mode is barely more popular than TT. Riot just doesn't take it seriously, which leads to all manner of silly and very visible bugs that persist for ages, like the bots saying incorrect quotes at the start of a match (fixed), and the load screen showing all bots as using Cleanse/Smite when they're actually not (not fixed).
Riot doesn't spend much time on co-op. I'm not saying that's a good thing.
Wow. That's actually a lot more than I would have thought. (Perspective: two or three percent of NA server on a co-op mode that is underserviced for years... seems like a lot to me. Especially compared with the 3v3 numbers...)
There's more co-op than customs...
(Incidentally, I'm surprised that co-op 3v3 doesn't have a bigger showing, just from people doing it for FWotD.)
Was co-op originally much more popular?
"Whatever function the co-op modes had when they were instituted..."
(Whence this graph?)
(Huh. It looks like 3v3 gets %3 (and presumably a bit more when Nexus Blitz is not available). It seems like that ought to be enough to justify it...)
Anyway, Meddler says that they are actually working on it. Doesn't sound like anything new, just fixing the old stuff from a few years ago, re-enabling the disabled bots.
