Just a discussion on veig, nothing serious.

So I have noticed that riot has refused to nerf veigar. Not crying about it but I just find it funny. That they haven't nerfed him in over 3 years(Don't quote me on it but that what I believe was the time length of his last nerf). No matter if he's weak or strong, no champ should just get repeated buffs for that long or not being touched. I am not counting indirect nerfs(ex. items nerfs) or anything. Isn't this enough. I just read up the patch history and the last time he got a nerf is patch v5.21. Season 5 guys are you serious and the new reworking coming season 9 makes it even more stupid. Please if riot reads this. Give this man a nerf for once, not matter if its 5 damage off of his auto or something. No one should keep getting buffs over and over again without a single nerf for that long.

Well, that's because he doesn't need nerfs, basically any assassin champion can whack him, any high mobility can destroy him in lane and make him useless through the game, unless you decide to extend the game to 70 mins, then yeah, veigar is OP [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Your logic doesn't make sense. You want them to nerf him just to nerf him, regardless of whether he needs it or not? What if he doesn't need it, then he should just be nerfed, cause? And what about Diana? She hasn't been nerfed in even longer, only buffed, but should she also be nerfed too? And why wouldn't you count indirect nerfs to his items and other things? Those are a major determining factor for how strong a champion is.

Veigar is only good if the game goes on long enough and even then he still has short range. If that is considered OP in this meta then I wish to be part of your universe cause it sounds way better than mine

What I'm hearing from you is that Veigar is an indicator of the game's damage creep. Balanced at any given point (with win rate variation being due to items or meta), but gets small buffs over time to keep up with the rest of the champions.

You know Vel'koz was much the same way before Riot forced a their mini rework on him. He was considered the most balanced champion in the game due to that.

maybe you should check the patch notes again. last time i saw a nerf on my little cat it was worlds 2017.

He's fine, the only real thing that makes him decent is glacial augment. Meta doesn't really favor him, but if his 4 biggest counters are banned he's gonna just be that scaling control mage with bunch of burst that if not shutdown early, can be problematic to deal with in the mid game, while in the late game he isn't that great as believe he is (compare him to actual hypercarries like Kai'Sa, Irelia, Kassadin etc.) due to the counteritemization like QSS, Mikael's, Edge of Night, Banshee's etc. Sure he will still be a threat but if you know what you're doing you will deal with him just fine.

Idk everyone calls him weak and stuff, but its like if he ults you past the 25 minute point he does a whoopin on ya

Well his R does deal more damage based on your missing HP. So if he ult you, you are below 25% health and he has his MRpen boots and his first item complete, then yeah he is gonna nuke you if your health is that low.
