Sona needs work
She's just too strong too early. She pokes you down at level 1 and there's nothing you can do about it, there's no counter. Every 10 seconds she walks up, Hymn of Valor, walks away. It's retardedly strong.

lmfao, she's been nerfed to oblivion and people are still whining about her being too strong! Here's the thing, she can only do that like 2-3 times before she's OOM.
Sona starts with 340.6 mana and 9 MP5. Her Q has a cost of 45 mana and a CD of 8 seconds and has a range of 850. So stay out of that range, or wait till it's on CD, or invest in some MR early and stomp her. She's not OP, you just have to learn how to combat it.
