Self + Smartcast

Hey, so why am I here, I don't use that preset option called self+smart-cast but i use smart cast + range indicators, so I binded self-cast to alt+Q,W,E,R but I cannot use it properly. Here is an e.g. : I press alt+E (Morgana) and my mouse is aimed at friendly champ that engaged far into enemy team, however i dont cast it on myself but Morgana runs towards her ally to shield him..... Thats just what troubles me and made me irritated about 4 times X_X :D
