Can we change the way lp is earned and lost?

Does anyone else have an issue with the way the ranked system is set up? I think it is stupid that we gain and lose lp based on win or loss. I just played a game was doing great, then my garen got ganked, died, then ran it down mid a million times. How is it fair to anyone on my team that we lost lp because one person decided to be a complete asshole. I seriously think the ranked system should give lp based on personal ranking. like how you earn S A B C D after the game. What you earned should decide how much lp you get or lose. If someone got like a B- or lower they lose lp and they lose more depending on how low the rank was. Same for gaining lp. If you make a B or higher you gain lp and gain more depending on how high your score is. This is an idea I have had for a while and would love to see it in testing or something.(seriously doubt it though). Or at least get some justification from riot

It should be a running joke that they use an Elo system for a team game. Though it's also true that if it were decided primarily by other metrics players might be more focused on gaming the numbers than actually winning. I still think it would be fairer nonetheless if LP/MMR gain/loss were determined at least partially by individual performance.

My issue is I think its unfair my team and I lost lp cause one guy decided to troll. I feel he should be punished for it not all of us

and by "troll" you mean someone who did poorly and now is being accused of "feeding" and "trolling"

The way the champion rank thing is all this would accomplish is have people just gaming the hell out of it by picking the dumbest things you could possibly think of but because so few people would play them in those roles you would still get high ranks meaning that as long as you don't massively feed and just do average you would gain so much more LP than those who actually are doing well but not getting a high rank due to the way the champion rank system works

ive made many posts on this before yes the system is flawed and nothing will change because of the dynamic of the game vs other games that use ELO. Other games elo based you can solo carry because your team death doesnt make the enemy stronger (Overwatch, CSGO, etc) They still do the same damage if they got the kill or not. This allows better players to 1vX much easier and smurfs to smash games.

No this guy didn't do poorly he died once. Then flamed my jungler for not being right there when he got ganked then ran it down mid I know the difference between a troll and a bad game

you say that yet i bet you are just saying things to make him look bad and even then... REPORT HIM and/or write a support ticket so that type of players can be dealt with

We've also shifted to a design in which it's harder to solo carry in the way it used to be. Shifting the way the system works would be wise IMO.

this idea of lp based on ranking like s a b c d is kinda bad . then everyone try to get an S instead of playing for a win xd .

and at least the system give you lp or lose lp based on your skill lvl a little bit. Your MMR is the base for the Lp gain. thats not the really problem here but at least ..... didnt lose so much lp anymore. i´m happy with losing 10 lp and win 35 lp

i guess it wont need a change that everyone is punished with lp lose cuz a troller or smth if riot just finally punish those trollguys. if they dont want to then yes ... i´ll hope there will come any system who let us only lose 25% of normal lp lose. and punish the troller with 300%
