6.22.16 New Jung :(

Interesting changes I have to say, but the lack of buffs on any other camps but red and blue make it tough for single target champs with no aoe like Kindred. I climbed well with her but just now I was 2 lvls behind at 5 min and lost all jung control. Not saying this new jung isn't good or that it is good, just saying that it isn't friendly to all jung champs anymore and that's something I don't think riot considered at all. And in the back of my mind I'm thinking they have a new champ in the works that can run this new jung better than current meta jung champs. But hey who knows.... Obstupifacti O/I

its not supposed to be. it forces you to make better decisions with our time and more active with the team.

I get that but its also not really fair cuz if you don't farm jung you fall behind, sure you can help team but if they end up throwing what then? makes it hard to carry as a jung player, and again, brings focus back to having to help assassins; #assassinhype

Obviously they need to tweak the jungle, but very sure Kindred should not have difficulty in jungle play since she is a jungle intended champion, her Q hits 3 targets and she can spam it thanks to her W's field which also slows move and attack speed on 'neutral enemies and what not', which is a great trade off gimmick in place of her little heal move.

Not to mention Kindred (best jungle waifu ever) lives off her stack power, if she doesnt get some stacks running then her Q doesn't get more base damage nor does her autos start poking % health damage which once you have blood razor, i usually see what allows kindred to pull some strong early game ganks that don't require you to hard CC, auto jump on top of a enemy laner or just plain stealth douche your way to them. Plus especially which can lead to her getting dragon early.

The only critical concern i could have with the jungle is since blue buff does not grant a mana smite bonus, it can make it tad more punishing for mana'based jungle champions to sustain better if they can't clear the golem without mana, but in the flip'side i believe it makes jungle 'scum' champions like Twitch be more screwed since they don't have any actual 'reliable' form of jungle clear except auto spamming since i believe his Q would reset the jungle mobs causing them to recover health so he can only really use it at the start for a short attack speed burst, with the only thing he has left that really works is his mana sink 'damage boon' and his low true damage over time passive gimmick.

Of course they made things easier by making more mobs 'singular' group, namely red and blue buff and having the rock golems and raptors be the go to kill spot for AoE based abilities or later kills when you have slightly stronger wave kill to especially poach that strong reward gain from the splitting krugs.

You also need to consider the fact they increased the respawn time on the jungle to close the gap difference between junglers that could clear jungle fast and ones who clear it slow, which means the fast jungle clear won't be able to as reliably jump into the enemy jungler, harass them and then have minions all back up on their side. That or do the early game ganks as easily and have red and blue buff back up for them to re'sustain themselves early on.

Flip'side though it does tilt enemy junglers more to trying to gank especially early on which could lead to them being more wreckless and in turn, make it easier for a laner to deny them that opportunity and maybe kill them instead, especially if they try to do it right after the first jungle clear where they likely may not have full mana or health when they try to jump in and rush them.

Major changes in any game tends to require extra fine tuning even after a beta'server testing spree. Especially for gags like how marksmen were stacking flat armor penetration builds for a while, which thankfully this lethality change should shut that down (40% flat armor of the lethality with the remaining 60% gained as a enemy gets higher in level will atleast make low lethality builds extremely trash and rushing it as a first item on a marksmen will ruin them in damage output).

Plus lets not forget about the 'fact' such as someone else said in this forum post, that they intentionally redesigned the jungle to not make it a EZ mode clear out and then gank several times. It makes it more intended to play a more active role as the jungler such as harassing lanes to push out enemy laners that are walling your ally. Before they can get so fed that its impossible for your ally to make a come back.

Problem is for jungs like mumu he does clear and gets super ahead from it because he fast clear and harass lane super easy, and then still invade single target junglers that get held up on camps now lol. Sure the jung is harder now, but for some champs its exactly the same if not easier, and I don't see the reason in changing it if that's the case. For instance, you got any jung v rengar; now with the convenient removal of the raptor buff (pink vision), rengar can just roam everywhere now which i think is the only reason they took it out, so that rengars ult can be effective :( Those are the changes I think make it unfair and totally tilted towards this new assassin revival :( its not right to change a whole map just to make the assassin revival workable. You know if kindred never got that nerf on her heal the jung would be no problem but hey, that's riot right?? I get you have to change things to make other thing relevant, but when you have such a wide champ pool these things that seem small and no biggy actually destroy champs intended roles and for kindred its hard to take her any role but jung :( Obstupifacti I/O

Kindred was previously reliant on krug's smite to clear the jungle early without taking too much damage ever since they took her sustain passive away. I haven't gotten a chance to play her yet (too busy with all the assassins and their toys), but I suspect that OP is right about her suffering. I'm sure a number of other low AoE and no sustain champs are having more issues than every before.

Personally I won't be too surprised if the meta develops into engage tanks in the jungle. The new mastery, and the resurgence in popularity of assassins will make tanks strong again.

It's not so much damage and health (clears actually feel healthier to me), it's just the clear speed is slowed down with extra creeps at Raptors and Krugs, at least that's what I've noticed (I've only played a few custom games to see how the jungle feels with the changes).

So far I've only gotten to play Kha'Zix and Ekko jungle, both have come a lot closer to death than in my previous experience. I did not run Strength of Ages on either of the champions, so the only culprit that seems obvious to me is the jungle changes themselves. I also feel like I'm smiting more frequently in the jungle, which makes red and blue smites less worthwhile to me.
