How is Fizz NOT broken? Need similar Champions to play!!! Burst preferred

So I've been main Mid Fizz for a long time. But then the Meta has seemingly shifted from the Tank Meta to the Poke Meta. So me being the amateur reacter that I am... Don't do well against Nidalees and Zeds. Then Tanks join the fight and since Fizz is a horrible tank fighter, now I not even good at Mid Lane. So, with the new RUNEGLAIVE, jungling time! So far very successful like my old mid lane. However, my friend keeps saying, oh Fizz is so broken because of his troll-@$$ Playful Trickster. I need some good counter arguments to prove that he isn't broken. And so I can use Fizz more often without being pressured of my friend saying he's Broken. Also, what champions are similar to Fizz. I need another champ to play!

For a moment I agreed with you, until I read the post. He is a high utility assassin with an easy escape. Assassins shouldn't have that much utility because they are oppressive, so he is broken. Ekko has more, but I don't find him to be that oppressive. Definitely not as much as Fizz.

I'd rather play against any of the champs listed in this thread except maybe Ahri and Diana at the moment. I don't know if I would waste a ban on Fizz, but I think that goes to show how few bans we have and how many broken champions there are.

Diana and Ekko The triad are all the exact same champion and Fizz can 1v1 both of them if he knows how to skillshot.

Additionally, stop telling people Fizz is overpowered. He is banned away from me enough. I need someone freelo to carry me.

Let's look at the base components of Fizz without his trollpole (since trollpole is unique).

Mobility, Burst, AP, disengage, engage, 1v1/1v2.

Now let's find champions that fit this.

Kassadin (very high skill cap)

Mobility with lw cd ult
Burst by nature
ult allows engage and disengage in 3 second span along with outplays
Needs to know when to use an ult and how

Ekko (medium)

His ult is a disengage and free save
Q allows an engage as well as passive for both
W is CC for engage or disengage
E is mobility (as is passive and ult)

Ahri (medium - low high)

Q is mobility and strong spell
E allows for full burst
Ult is hyper mobility and allows for large outplays

AP Ezreal (medium-low high)

E mobility and outplays
Q.
Kit allows high burst or sustained damage
E is engage and disengage at core, or just outplays and reposition.
Waveclear slight problem, but Fizz needs to waste trollpole to clear out waves anyway.

LeBlanc (High)

Burst is her design
Damn mobility is near broken
Fuck this champion
Is actually a god champion if mastered, even after nerfs
1v1 is easiest thing ever, 1v2 can happen after practice, 1v3+ is mastery.
engage and disengage in one, semi-low cooldown ability, and in another for pseudo engage/disengage

Akali (Medium)

Ult is her definition
Untargetable for an annoying amount of time unless Pinks
Interesting outplays
Can 1v1, 1v2, and 1v3+ if fed. But usually just 1v1 to 1v2 now.
Sticks to target and continually bursts.
engage and disengage is on non-existent cd ult

LeBlanc has a bad win rate (49%) even among players who have played over 125 games with her. Compare to Azir's 56% or whatever win rate among similarly experienced players, and Azir is frankly a higher skill cap champion than LB. Her win rate plummeted after the nerfs, and her pick rate also went down (probably because using her is basically trolling at this point). The only champions she has a positive win rate against are Ekko and Syndra, who aren't exactly amazing picks themselves.

People need to stop spreading this myth that LB is really good. She just got gutted because of it.

OP, play whoever the fuck you want to. I spam Cho'gath mid while gleefully admitting that it's not really fair.

I mean, by herself -- she sort of still gets a high amount of kills.

It's that her carry ability was reduced and she can't split push very well so the mid role is taken by someone who can solo kill and maybe double kill easily, but not add any utility to the team.

Gold and below, stats hardly matter. And that's a very large portion of the playerbase. LeBLanc fits the criteria for being closer to Fizz.

If you wanted to Plat+, then LeBlanc is pretty below average, yes. But even if she doesn't win, she doesn't really feed. Which is the annoying component: not dying as much even if she isn't nuking. Overall though, she isn't nearly as powerful, I agree.

I don't agree though with Azir being a higher skill cap. Feel he has a higher floor, lower ceiling than LeBlanc.

I'm not yet in ranked and the only other champion I can play is top lane Irelia. So assuming, fizz has high ban rate, I'm doomed O.O! Hmm Ekko and Diana are too expensive, although I could save up but I can't play so often. Are there any other good bursts fizzy type champions for a lower price? Thx for early comment! Also, not to be a bugger but, I really need some things to prove that Fizz ISNT broken.

Ekko is expensive, but the others I listed are not. I don't count Diana because she isn't exactly mobile and able to outplay in the middle of 5 people, which is a huge part of Fizz.

Points on why I would say Fizz isn't broken (so clearly, my opinion(s)):

Can be harassed out of lane by various champions if they know how Fizz works
Melee
CD on E limits teamfight ability and strengthens skillcap // needs to get into range to deal the damage (leaving himself vulnerable to CC if he E's in, or tanking all the damage if he E's off CC)
His damage isn't actually incredible (anymore), in fact, he's very ult dependent now to solo kill or even deal considerable damage (if not hyper fed)
Can only 1v1, possible 1v2 -- and we all know there are far better 1v1 champions that have better wave clear.
His wave clear pre-late game
Fizz is actually quite annoying and his mechanics make him slippery (I give credit to Rito for making a fish champion actually seem slippery in combat), but he is predictable. Doesn't mean you can counter it on your own, but he is predictable.
His laning consists of roaming if the other laner is competent to deny Fizz. Easily punishable.
He will get fed. Fizz just seems to have that innate ability and kit to do so and fuck over ADC's specifically. But that's a team issue, not an individual champion one.

[x] splitpush bad strategy [x] can't assassinate [x] useless late game [x] hard to gank for [x] suicide bot late game

just play annie into zed, rush armguard, then go straight damage. if he ever ults in teamfights just tibbers him and 100-0 him. if he never ults in teamfights then you won the game.

i like going against fizz with zyra.. i just poke him till he dives then kill him.. i have to take exhaust ..

problem is when he roams.. every fizz i dealt with that roams got fed and carried the game.. its the idea of an assassin that is frustrating to deal with.

I see! I do agree fizz needs to be fed by roaming. And since there are so many new counters to fizz, (Zed, Katarina, Salt), I stick to jungling so my roaming capability is higher. Oh yeah, is Ahri good?
