How will this be fixed?

My buddy just started playing, he's having a lot of fun and I'm showing him the ropes. I'm not even going hard on the new guys when I created another account but rather showing him the mistakes I made and how to prevent them. Then you get guys that purposely come into new games with their main characters or characters they're beyond comfortable with who have a main account but decide to ruin the fun and potential community this game could be increasing. I just want to know how this is somehow going to be prevented. New players want to fight new players, not players who know exactly what to do, when to do it and how to do it at level 6. Any mod or someone community wise know of anything?

If you duo with your friend, and you two win your first few games, you're gonna get roped into smurf hell. There are tons of new accounts made by established players, and while Riot tries to filter them out, realize that you look pretty much the same as those noobstomper accounts to the matchmaker.

It's much better to let your friend play co-op for a bunch of games until he's comfortable with the basic gameplay and something around level 10. Not only is that way less overwhelming for a new player, but playing pvp at low levels is a big flag for Riot's algorithms to say "hey, this guy probably knows what he's doing, match him against other potential smurfs".

Don't play PvP until you're comfortable with the game. I understand that YOU are bored playing against bots, but that doesn't mean that your friend is.

To be fair, You are smurffing. It is fair that you are paired up with smurffs when you play. Meaning that your friend is facing against smurffs because he is duoing WITH YOU.

From personal Experiences, I think Riot has a smurff MMR for people that hasn't reached lvl 30. When you have exceptional win rates in normal games at low level, you are automatically put there. I've seen friends who are good at other games (Dota for example) placed in matches full of smurffs just because he is familiar with this type of games and had been able to won at 80% win rates.

You're doing literally exactly the same thing. Matchmaking sees that and matches you with similar teams
