Core Complaints about the Preseason
Riot, here are the two core complaints about the Preseason patch:
- Too many changes at the same time: Yes, summoners love changes, but there is a certain level that we can accept and adjust to these changes; if a patch goes beyond this level and brings excessive new things at a moment, we feel exhausted and lost the familiarity to the game. The suggestion is, if you wanna redefine marksmen, you can modify their abilities but keep their items and masteries stable, or you can think of altering items and masteries gradually in later patches, don't throw all the things to us concurrently. For me, I don't think I am slow in accepting changes, I reached the ELO at D3 and ended S5 with Platinum, but I still feel dizzy when looking at the introduction of 5.22.
There is no such equation: the more content you change, the more enjoyable summoners will be. You already did a nice job for making more than 100 champions in the league, don't push yourself as well as summoners too much for adding new things to the game. It is not easy for us to feel bored about the game since there are lots of champions we can choose to play, lots of skills and strategies to learn and lots of skins to obtain. However, if you change the game over frequently and arbitrarily, you are shaking the foundation of summoners' interest. "Reformation" is good, but "revolution" is risky. Try to do some modest changes to the game, don't always make us feel we are playing a new game. - Too many OP things: there are already enough complaints from other summoners, just pay attention to their opinions. The suggestion is, if you buff marksmen, try not to nerf the items of mages and tanks simultaneously.
