Wtf is up with the mmr

I have just started a account and am lvl 27 and keep getting matched against plat and gold players. Why is this even happening??? It is their main accounts at like lvl 150+ . I don't understand how this even happens and how this could be enjoyable to anyone trying to learn the game. It's the worst experience ever.

you're playing norms, so doesn't really matter. Take the opportunity to learn from them.

It's hard to learn when they tower dive you and there is nothing you can do because they have so much more experience . I just want to know why it happens...

Because theyre normal games: que up and play as fast as possible. If you would like to avoid this then play arams till you're 30 or keep playing norms until you figure out how to not get tower dived. OR make a new account and play against level 12's again.

A new player trying to learn from Plats in normals will "learn" to go ham cause they get fed on newbs and wrek the place up... All they could learn is they are outmatched.

Most players outmatched too badly can watch a replay and not even know what series of events that signaled their opponent to all in them and get a kill.

People need to play against players nearer them in skill levels to learn. They can try things, continue to do the things that work, stop doing the things that dont. Against much higher level skill opponents, nothing they can do works, so they learn nothing in most cases.

You are just going to have to put in a LOT of time. Then, once you've put in ridiculous amount of time, you will then need to start a whole new fresh account! The MMR system will eventually hard stick your account somewhere and you won't be able to make any gains at all without going overnight professional player, so you will then need to start a fresh account without your learning MMR weighing you down. You will maybe need to do this two to three times to luck into a decent starting placement, where you will then get dependable players-ish.

It's the dumbest system I've even seen. Good luck.

some people duo/trio queue with their lower level friend which is why it matches you with other high levels or low levels

this is why you have to check your allies in op.gg to see if anyone is a high level (chances are they're a bad trio queue so it's best to dodge)
