Is it really legal to rework champions without granting refunds ?

There are a freaking lot of these topics and I kept trying to get over it but this is over the edge. Riot had been reworking champions for years now, that's not something new, but before 2015 there was this thing, you could actually e-mail them and ask for a refund if they reworked a champion and you just didn't like it anymore. Where this is going ? Well I am saying that there should be a way for us to get our RP for every skin we owned before the rework of a specific champion. This thing happened to me 3 times : I bought 2 skins on Quinn and after 4 months they reworked her ult. I bought bad santa veigar and they reworked his Q shortly after and the worst one was with Blood Lord Vladimir. I bought that skin and after 2 months they reworked him. Now I don't want to read the same old argument that "once you buy something online you have to accept the upcoming changes" no, I won't have that. Look at Hearthstone, everytime they nerfed ANY card they announced the nerf AND gave players the options to disenchant the cards for a full refund. Furthermore, I am interested in the way Riot games sees these things because I highly doubt it's legal to sell something and then take it and turn it into something else, and I'm also starting to believe Sean Murray has joined this company because as far as I can tell, No Man's Sky and League of Legends are the only two games that turned out to be fraudulent in this particular way. You can't take our money for a product and after a few months you give us something completely different (and I'm definetely not looking at Sion as I'm writing this).

I'm not saying I disagree with you - I just want to point out a few problems that may prevent this.

1 - As a constantly evolving online game, you can't expect Riot to not make changes. Some stuff is simply unhealthy, unbalanced, etc... I'm not sure how a rework differs drastically from a nerf for this argument, but either way Riot's first priority needs to be keeping the game in a healthy running state, rather than preserving their past sales.

2 - Full refunds are difficult because of sales. I've personally bought nearly all of my skins at 50% off. I've bought all of my rune pages during 2 for 1 sales. I've bought about 1/5 of my runes during the 30% off sale during preseason 5. I doubt Riot tracks this information for more than the 90 days in the refund client, which means if they gave me a full refund I would actually get way more back than what I paid.

3 - At the end of the day, Riot has suggested more than just "a champion being strong" or "having a certain kit" as to why you should play them, main them, and buy skins for them. They also suggest that you should love the champion - have a connection with their story and like them as a character. It's hard to argue against that for a refund.
