Urgot auto attack changes

Having played both new Urgot and old Urgot I have come to like his rework both in theme and gameplay, but I believe there is something wrong with the champion in regards to his auto attacks and his (W) purge ability. Urgot's regular attacks without the (P) echoing Flames feel pathetic and weak, on the other hand his (W) purge feels good to use but the damage is about three times weaker than auto attacks; meaning he shoots about 4-6 shots a burst with three times the fire speed but one-third the output. I believe Urgot would feel better to play if his regular auto attack had a new sound effect that felt more powerful with a different projectile that gave it a slight oomf to it. My friend suggested something that sounds like a rail gun but fires with a high caliber bullet, this way his auto's felt stronger while his purge would remain the same as he alternates between tank buster shots and machine gun fire. The animations are already present in his auto attacks for something that is stronger than what he uses, and unless the idea is to feel pathetic without echoing flames I think the change would make him more enjoyable to play.

"unless the idea is to feel pathetic without echoing flames"

I think that's exactly what the idea is. It feels monstrous with passive, and pathetic without.

It accurately reflects the damage you see in game and accurately depicts the feel of the attack.

Sorta like how Nautilus without passive is swinging a giant anchor but makes a little whisper-like "puff" sound on hit.

I agree with this. The core of Urgot's new gameplay is that he is meant to position himself around his opponent in a way that allows him to blow targets up using all six of his S H O T G U N K N E E S. If he's not doing that, then he shouldn't be rewarded with any large amount of damage, and in this respect, making him sound like he's dealing a lot of damage, when he isn't, could be misleading to the player, and could muddy the feedback they get from playing him (e.g. "it sounds like I'm blasting a railgun, but I barely dented my opponent's HP bar, what gives?").

The best part is when Nautilus just gently pushes his anchor towards the enemy

Nah let it be as it is, Urgot ain't that strong with his basic attacks and the feel is right, it's when you level up and have a shorter cooldown on your passive that your really feel the power of urgot.

My only thing is I wish his Q still had a DoT like pre rework Urgot.

Just wanted to throw some generalized numbers out here

Urgot has a base .595 attack speed, and gets up to about 1 attack per second at level 18 without any attack speed items/runes His W allows him to shoot 3 times a second, but on-hits are 33.3% effective and it cannot crit. Each hit does 12 + 20-36% AD based on ability level.

At level 1, Urgot has 63 base AD, so he does about 24 per W shot. His normal attack would be 63 every 1.63 seconds, or 37 DPS vs 72 DPS with W. At level 18, Urgot has 131 base AD, so he does 59 per W shot. His normal attack is 131 every 1.02 seconds, or 128 DPS vs 177 DPS with W

tldr: W is stronger
