It seems as though Bronze is a bottomless pit, here's why I feel that way.

I was placed at the beginning of the season in bronze II. For many it is fairly self evident that my MMR was pretty terrible. Now I have gotten to the point of carrying games without winning them, and getting more and more frustrated. I decided why not take a look at why this is happening. Well for starters I want to say that I myself am not perfect, as all of you are not. Well it seems to me that a lot of the problem stems from people being AFK or raging because they cannot get the lane that they desire due to the fact of pick order. Realistically, when you play League of Legends in the ranked queue you should have some knowledge of how to play all of the roles that the game has put forth for you. However, this is not the case. It seems as though people have no desire to play any role other than a "carry" role. The game isn't meant to be about style, it is meant to surround teamwork. In the bronze tier it seems as though objectives do not exist and people continue to chase people even when the bait is clear.

So what is the point of what I had just said? The point is that I should not continue to suffer due to the fact that my team will have an AFK almost every game, and we will have someone raging and feeding because he couldn't go Orianna Mid because he was last pick. If this is the case where someone is feeding, I should be able to receive a loss prevented for it, and if someone is AFK I should also be receiving a loss prevented for it. This is a game that is heavily based upon the teamwork aspect of FIVE players, so why should I keep getting demoted because other people fail to preform? Realistically, I think that ranked is broken, and that there are a lot of things that Riot needs to change in order for ranked to come to a balance, because there are people who know the mechanics and sit in the same troll cellar for the entire season. The game just isn't enjoyable this way.

I went from bronze 3 to silver 3 in a week (I started ranked this season very late). I'm gold now waiting for the end of the season still and just relaxing. you say how people don't focus on objectives in bronze and how your teams are bad, but so are the other teams. it's more about what you are fighting than what's on your team.

I totally agree with your opinion. I placed silver 3 at the beginning of the season but had to stop playing due to difficulties at home and ended up decaying to bronze 4. Now (I'm a support player :( ) I can't dig myself out of this hole due to trolls, ragers, afk'ers and leavers. Sure I report those that ruin my experience in hopes that I may never come across these people again, but I just end up getting the same type of people every game. I'm in no way toxic toward anyone on my team even if they're unskilled or toxic themselves and I always try to lead my team.. but bronze players never seem to listen to reason. I know there's not much that can be done about this and it is very very frustrating, especially when I know the mechanics very well and could win these games if only my team would listen.

I've noticed lately that most skilled players I come across are support mains and that makes me very sad. It's almost impossible these days for a support player to get anywhere in solo queue. So I've decided to leave behind my beloved support role and take up a role that can carry my team.. but I'm quite mediocre at every other role and it's just not working. I may just give up on this game all together if something isn't done about the mass amount of problems with low ranked solo queue. Ok..done ranting.

I was Bronze V the beginning of the season, now I'm Gold II, going for Plat V. You can get out dude. It'll probably just take you over 1k to get to Gold.

Yes afks and trolls are unfortunately, VERY prominent in ranked, specifically in Low level bronze, but what I can tell you is that escaping bronze is not impossible. At the beginning of this season I had a lot of friends telling me it was impossible, so I lost all my placements and went down to B5. In the last two months i've climbed from B5 to currently in my promos for Gold. Its not impossible to escape. Yes its going to take a lot of time and a lot of patience, but its not impossible. Duo queing with a friend helps a lot ive found. It makes it easier to have fun. Best of luck to you for the rest of this and the beginning of next season!

Whoever is downvoting please make a smuf and just go casually play in some Bronze matches, don't carry, just play at a low skill level (5 kills 2 deaths would be a good place to stick around). Just watch the people around you and how they act. Then come back and post your opinion. The whole idea of "you belong where you are" is the most frustrating thing to hear when it seems that the games you play are loaded against you because of your team. It's not the problem of low skill, it's the problem of low TEAMWORK. Elo hell is where teamwork is hard to find. I'm not even talking about communication really, just plain getting along with your team. 60-70% of the games I've lost have just been complete disreguard of manners; ragers, arguing, ect. The rest are just me and my team being bad.

On behalf of everyone, I think that I may have been a little harsh in saying that it is "impossible" to get out of bronze tier. However, what my main emphasis is, is that I should be getting penalized and lose LP for someone deciding that it is time to go AFK. These games should result in a loss prevented. I'm not trying to "toot my figurative horn" so-to-speak, but I feel that I am much more skilled then those that I am matched against. With the new season on the horizon, and season four coming to a close I am pretty relieved that I am going to get a fresh start in regard to Ranked, especially with the new Summoners Rift on it way to competitive play. With these changes I feel that there are going to be a lot more ways to be mobile as far as getting out of bronze and really climbing the ranked ladder. It is not impossible but it is definitely going to be a challenge to see who I am going to be placed with, granted that my provisional matches go well. So realistically, it is safe to say that I am definitely going to be getting out of bronze, and hopefully it reflects this preseason.
