How league of legends feels to me right now :)

The problem with league of legends is that you've given it a VGU Champions we spent all our time learning to play have just gone poof. Evelynn Aatrox The long lane trades we worked so hard to get good at in past years have been traded in favor of grouping early to get new buffs item 3513
The hardwork we put in to learn how to maximise cd and mana have been traded for endless mana and damage that makes missing an ability hardly matterZoe Swain Just like riot has done with all the newer champions league has become a low skill floor high skill ceiling game that makes you feel cheated for time when you get defeated and doesnt give you the feeling of being superior to the enemy team when you win I personally missed the fact that the game was slow it made it that much more fun when you had those 3 teamfights you could look back on and think about what if I had done this instead TL;DR League felt like Nasus Ashe Braum Orianna Vi Leauge Feels like Yasuo Kaisa Rakan Akali Kayn

League felt like (...) Vi

the good old outplay button Vi Syndra Veigar Malzahar [slayer-jinx-catface]

old champions kits were toxic as well, but the problem as you said it's that they had weakness, damn it try to punish a Zoe or Kaisa,90% you end up oneshoted unless they didn't fked up so hard or literally went 1 vs 5

To go with the analogy, I think part of the issue is that said VGU being applied to League is only partly done. It'd be as if one decided to fully rework Akali, but only got around to reworking her innate and Q, while keeping her old W, E and ult. If that were to happen in practice, the resulting kit would be completely dysfunctional, and it is this dysfunction we're experiencing right now across the game. Newer champions are being designed or reworked using principles that are different, and frequently incompatible, with League's original foundations, which is why there are so many instances now where older champions feel so ill-equipped in the game's current setting. Things may stabilize if League eventually reaches its goal and completes its self-update (assuming it doesn't change direction midway through yet again), though that in itself may still run the risk of alienating much of its older fanbase.

Starts clapping* Amen, Amen to that Where's my old Irelia at I spent 5 years straight playing her I have over 1 million Mastery points on the old irelia And then the new Irelia came and then you know she stopped being my main and I was extremely upset to the point of Tears.. man I cried over a week mourning the death of my irelia

I miss old League so much. Just feels like so much less strategy now and I just hate how much damage is in the game. Almost every death just feels like shit same with kills.

Before we had laning phase, there were no crabs, plants heralds etc. Only thing beside baron was dragon that gave ONLY gold. ANd it was fine! I prefered to actually lane with strong turrets and in mid game we all group and fight.

Right now map is saturated with objectives, towers are paper that deal zero dmg and fall after 4 minues.

riot cares more about making the game faster and flashier to appeal to people with short attention spans instead of having a long game that rewards skillful thinking and plays, DOTA 2 still has this old style of skill>no skill. Of course there's still broken bullshit in dota 2 as there is in every game but it's leagues better than LoL
