When your MMR is much higher than others in your division it matches you with people who have very low MMR for their division to balance it out.
Usually this means players on tilt, ppl who just got reported, AFK'ers, etc. That's how it goes.

yeah riot believes if you want to promote you must hard carry 4 other players or you just are not worth the promote. System doing it jobs alright. 7 game win streak hit promos and BAM game 1000% 1 sided. like 2 of them could have afked for 3 minutes and still wouldn't have changed the game.
