Yasuo too good early game

I feel that YasuoYasuo is too good in the early game being able to get damage in a lot easier and a lot more damage than many other champions. It feels like he doesn't have to work as hard early game to rack up damage and get kills as other champions, and I often find myself struggling to even get close without taking upwards of half health.

Windwall too busted. Blocks around 80% of abilities in the game, including ults. If you're a burst mage, have fun. No issue with the rest of his kit though, it's just his stupid W that takes very little skill to use, but heavily counters things that actually take skill.

I actually somewhat agree with this. I play him a lot and I rarely find the need to use windwall, however in the few matchups I do, the enemy can't do anything. There should be a way to create a suitable middle ground.

I mean I'm only silver but I find say, playing ahri into yasuo pretty easy tbh. Of course this may not always be the case for other champs and/or players but particularly gold and lower Yasuo's are SUPER easy to wreck in lane.

According to my Season 8 highlights, Yasuo is the champ I've killed the most. And I feel pretty confident midlaning against him. So I might have something useful to add. Here's my anti-yasuo gameplan.

  1. freeze the lane.
  2. dance side to side.
  3. pop shield with autoattack then back off.
  4. don't trade with full wave; wait until he kills your melee minions.
  5. stand beside your casters rather than between or behind your casters.
  6. dorans_ring -> armguard -> chapter and/or darkseal.

why:

  1. he can't dash into your tower. Yasuo would prefer to freeze under his own tower so he can all-in you with his dps.
  2. to dodge tornado.
  3. to pre-emptively reduce his trading potential.
  4. reduces his dashes, and therefore trading potential.
  5. exiting a trade is awkward for Yasuo if he dashes sideways instead of backwards. also, tornados will be more efficient if he uses it to trade and to push simultaneously.
  6. armguard's gold efficiency goes from 94% to 151% with stacks. 151% is pretty insane, so you wanna prioritize it over lost chapter.

If you freeze lane and rush armguard, you can bully him rather than let him bully you. If he falls behind he's trash. Prioritize wave management and HP dominance over perfect cs.

yasuo is the champ that everyone's killed the most. Yasuo is also the champ that most people have died to the most. That's just because he's the most played midlaner in the game. That doesn't make you experienced on the topic. It just means that the yasuo fanclub is still going strong.

I don’t know too much about the matchup (I usually find myself playing LB into Yasuo where I just end up roaming), but if Yasuo wants to harass you, he has to push the wave. If he does so, let him push the wave up to your turret. As you last hit under turret, dodge the occasional tornado if it comes your way. At this point, Yasuo will be in a prime position to be yanked by your jungler. If you are playing an AD laner, get an early tabis If you are playing an AP laner, don’t get armor until after your first mana item (then get seekers)
