why do we encourage supports to not be supports?

im prob getting downvoted here, but the entire point of supports was to SUPPORt the adc in the early to late game.

not be a all in 100-0 burst assasin that ccs and takes the kills.

there are already 2 lanes where that playstyle is revered.

feels like the adc is the support in botlane right now, make 1 missstep and you lose 50% of your health instantly even to enchanters.

nerf adcs and promote this playstyle, like how are you supposed to stand out atm in bot? walk up and auto for 40 dmg ? and take 500 dmg in return ?

botlane skill is dead pre 15 min.

Pyke is a great addition to the game. As a support main, I ironically enjoy melee ad assassins.

and i disagree, think its a disgrace to think he would in anyway be considered a support.

even his lore is about a guy with a vendetta to kill people, where on earth does it suggest he could in anyway be considered support.

why does soraka take 30% of your health pr Q from africa? list goes on.

supports does way to much dmg in the lane it feels like.

lane feels like 90% support and 10% adc.

Supports do decide the lane. The better support almost always decides who wins lane. Marksmans are weak early. That's why we lane with them.

but you dont help them, you kill them. thats the main issue i have.

you dont help your carry in 9/10, you KILL the enemy carry.

That's how we help. We give them a safe way to farm. Death is the best cc.

but its not a safe way to farm when both supports can one shot the ad, u are just a scared little child hiding behind a dorans shield untill you can do something for yourself.

It's safe if your support is good. We protect, we attack, but most importantly, we ward.
