The thankless Job

I am a support Zyra main since season 2-3, and getting board with others players telling me how to play my Game and Character.

Things you here almost every game as support.

"You are supporting me" - No I am supporting the team, If I choose stay with you be thankful. If I think your shit, and we are loosing lane, I am going roam, and try and help other lanes, not sit about and wait for another death because the ADC does not understand about positioning to get hooked or stunned then blames me for his getting caught

"This is my lane" - No this is our lane, we are a team, the moment you start claiming things are yours, its our farm, I just let you have it, but I don't need too. I am leaving lane and I will come back and take farm when I want too. if i need one minion to hit 6 to make a play, then I will take the minion.

"Your job is to feed the ADC" - yes maybe this was relevant in 2015, but more and more I am seeing Yi, Yaz and other people playing support, Lux's ,veigar and other burst mages and lets not mention Pyke. So no its not my job get you fed, I will do my best to make good plays and try and get your kills, but my job is push the lane and get kills or assists and help others not just you get kills, but if you can't kill them or are to slow, I am going to kill them and move on. Not sit about waiting for your cool-downs.

"Get back in lane" - No if I want to roam I will, I will help you best I can, but If I see an opportunity to help others lanes or make plays I will, If your not good enough not to get caught out while i am doing stuff then go hide behind the tower. Its your lack of skill that problem, not my lack of supporting... I can spend 10-15mins 2 v 1 next to tower, so if i can do it...

"No wards, Support needs to ward" I will ward, often and regular and try and put them in useful places, but to say its supports job to ward the map is nonsense. Firstly, until about level 6 or longer, I am going have the same ward item as you, this means its everyone's job, Blaming support for lack of wards is like blaming 1/5th of team for something the other 4/5 should be doing also.

"Stupid Support" - This normally from salty ADC, who just got caught out and expects me to be some sort time witch, who can change my cool-down speed and have my spells at anytime and at any moment. If I fire my root, and catch them, and drop plants and hit them with my Q, so you can finish them off, and you miss your skill shot, or miss me making the play, and then miss time your attack and get caught out. Its not my fault.

"This Support" - I know this sounds like crazy concept, but I am humble and smart enough to know, I will get out played sometimes, no matter what I do or how I do it, sometimes people are better than me and I have to accept this. I will do my best not feed, but if I am getting constantly out played then I am going to die. Flaming the support is going to just make me want to help you out less, or come and save you. I am only human and honestly, I mute people like that, but I know then will not want to help them as much anyway as them negative effects have already infected the game, I won't be looking to make risky plays to save your ass. as all you will do is flame. So by flaming the support, all your doing is making your team less effective and more split. It amazes me how stupid people are that they can't even understand, if you flame your team or specific players, your going to get less from them after the moment you open your mouth to them. Your negativity and lack of maturity to keep your mouth shut is going loose the game. Soon as you say something you have just lowered the teams skill, because your creating divides and splits in your team. Most people flaming are looking for someone to back them up and vindicate them, but really by doing this, your creating an us v them mentality in your team. If you can't understand that or do and still can't keep your mouth shut, then your toxic element in League, You ruin games and your cause of most of the hate that comes out of LOL. Yes I am saying if you flame another player, then you are just as bad as someone who feeds or goes AFK. Its hardened to punish or prove, but your still damaging your teams chances as much as going afk or feeding. So if you flame your support, don't be surprised, if they mute you and piss off to another lane, its YOUR FAULT. Supports are not there to be your whipping posts because you had bad day and daddy did not love you enough or what ever your problem is....

"KS" - Maybe I am old school, but I don't believe there is something called KS, maybe very rarely there an opportunity that this comes about, but if its a fight and I can kill the target, I will. Don't expect me sit back and wait. If I can get the kill I will take it, if ADC is good and awake, they can always take that kill from me. If they are not, then I get the kill and they get assist.

"You need build x, y or Z" - No I don't - Don't tell you how play your game, or tell you need build this or hit more minions, nothing worst that backseat player. but honestly I have many times built items people have asked if they have a reason and are polite about it. If you are rude and a dick to your support, don't expect them suddenly go out their way to change there build to keep you happy.

So in conclusion.

Supports are there to support the team, not ADC, if they ADC is rude and lacks any manners, chances are supports players are just not going want to help you. If you flame the support the moment you die for first time, You just lost the lane, If you tell a support how play or what to build in rude manner, they will not do it. If you complain about wards, but have not put any down yourself, then support be less willing to help you. If you flame your support for KS, when you missed your skill-shot, or can't put enough damage out to finish then support is not going support you.

Really be nice and polite to support, they are one's who will protect you, watch your back, ward around you to make sure you don't get ambushed or bush ganked and billion and one things that supports do, but never get any notice for. Its simple be polite and friendly and you will find that most supports are friendly and willing to work with you to get some place. If your a dick to your support and blame them for something you did, or both of you did but don't take responsibility for you part in miss play, then support is going to move on very quickly and leave you to die, as they are not going spend the rest of gaming listening to you moan about how support lost the game. Sorry but I will just go else where and watch you die and help another team mate, who actually has manners.

Lession is - Be polite, courtesy costs nothing and win games.
