Heimerdinger's turrets causing towers to aggro him?

I used to be able to put my turrets under an enemy tower if it was shooting a siege minion, the turrets would shoot the enemy player if they tried to defend the push and the tower wouldn't aggro Heimerdinger. Was that changed at some point? Could it be a mastery or something like that that could cause the tower to aggro Heimer?

Working as intended. Any damage you do from any source to any champion is supposed to cause the turret to aggro you. BUT only if the champion is in the turret aggro radius (if you want to get a good feel for what that radius is go and replay the battle tutorial)

It's like you didn't read my post. Are all your answers referring people to the tutorial?

If it wasn't before that was probably a bug or old coding on the turrets, because they are supposed to draw aggro to you if they damage an enemy, otherwise you could kill them under turret with almost no counter play.

if you or your turrets attack a defender, turret will know its you

You guys are wrong. I just got out of a game and it seemed to work up until the siege minion was killed. I was able to place all 4 turrets under the enemy turret without getting turret aggro. At some point something changed though causing the turret to aggro me. It may have been the laser from my turrets grabbing the tower aggro though. Here is a Heimerdinger guide that has a gif of the dive I'm talking about in it. There have been 10 patches since that guide was updated though. http://www.lolking.net/guides/239195?gid=239195&page=1#page-comments

  1. Turret will only target you if a champion is hurt by you or your heimer turrets (or alternatively there are no minions or your own turrets to take turret hits)
  2. You have to be in turret radius for it to target you (herp derp right?)
  3. The enemy has to be in the turret radius and then getting damaged for it to cause the turret to attack you,
  4. If the enemy champion is out of its own turret radius and you or your turrets damage that champion the turret will not attack you.

If for some reason heimer turrets do not cause tower aggro on YOU while an enemy champion and YOURSELF are in turret radius and your heimer turrets apply any sort of damage to the ENEMY CHAMPION then that is a bug. (and ill be the first person to admit that heimers kit is very bug prone, as is with Azir currently, the old days of the lane bully that used to be yorick and shaco boxes)

So you didn't take a look at the gif in the guide that I linked in my post either? Cause that gif clearly shows the turrets pwning on the enemy under the enemy tower while both champions are in tower radius. I did that last game as well with the use of banner of command I was able to not be targeted by the enemy turret while I killed him under tower because of a big siege minion holding turret agro.

To be fair I did edit the link to the guide in because I forgot it.

I see it now after you edited but what happened there was that heimer places down all of his turrets during a turret shot and then leaves the aggro / hitting radius of the turret, You can also clearly see that he gets turret aggro once he moves back into it.

The tower shot that siege minion twice after the turrets were placed though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_jaLZZzgcBY At 6:33 he tower dives again, this time it's a lot more evident that the laser from his turrets is what is drawing aggro off the siege minion.

I figured it out, just watched the gif a few more times, it's the turret laser that causes the aggro switch. Thanks for the help.
