How do I play ahri vs vlad

Starting from level one, he has boots and runs at me with Q. If i use my Q too as ahri, the first part will hit him, but the 2nd part he side steps and his Q heals back most of my damage. Eventually I run out of mana. I know I can start W, but he can still spam Q and I run out of mana. What can I really do? Don't say call jungler because it doesnt always happen.

If you can only land half your damage expect to lose most lanes.

How do you beat vlad? You kill him. He is squishy and you have burst.

The same thing Ahri does against almost anything else. Throw Q and then run away. And sustain whatever damage you take back with your passive.

Yeah you'll run out of mana eventually but you can just back and buy and when you come back you can boot vlad out of the lane with your new toys.

I usually start flask in those types of matchups, really helps with your sustain and lets you stay in lane longer (I like to stay in lane a while so I can buy a rod )

Probably just turns into a farm lane; Vladmir is difficult to kill since he has so much sustain. Abuse your range advantage (you also have a speed boost on Q which will help you kite and stay out of his range). If it's lvl 1 and he runs in the middle of your minion wave, just auto him and see if you can get him to draw minion aggro (edit: minion aggro is kind of weird, if he only uses his Q I don't think he'll draw aggro, since it's an ability. If he auto attacks you, he'll draw aggro), get him to use his Q before he takes damage from your Q (otherwise he'll just heal it off; he won't heal any if he's at full health). Minions do a massive amount of damage early game. Also if you throw your Q at max range, it's near impossible to dodge the second half.

Later on, he kind of has to run at you if he wants to do anything, which is a pretty easy charm to land. Also be sure to build a Morellonomicon; consider Abyssal if you need MR.

When you use your Q, land it through the minion wave. This way, you are CSing and harassing at the same time and not wasting mana. Also, try to hit him with your Q at max range, and then he will take both parts of the damage in quick succession, and he won't be able to dodge unless he uses his pool.

wait till he Qs and heals then use your q

Push the lane with your AoE damage superiority.

Morello's -> Ludens

Use your superior burst, wave clear, and roaming to get ahead and win.

There is quite the simple solution to your problem! You don't trade with him early, with the knowledge of him healing back up , wasting your mana. Also at the same time, if you keep track of your charges, just sit with 9 charges up. Why would he attack you with the knowledge your next ability heals? You can just play his game. :)So If he pushes with his E then you Q the wave. But early before he obtains a wota/revolver he can be pretty weak imo, killable actually. You can punish him for running at you to trade just land some nice Q's and catch him off guard lvl 6+ with charm and gg. I'd say just play passive and grab cs where possible and roam abit, try your luck to get ahead. Rush zhonyas/morellos. hope that helps
