Rating system in aram

Hi, I'd like to know how does your rating system actually works in aram, cuz so far I don't think it works like it should. This is not the first time I have encountered this issue, but I feel that in this instance it's more then obvious that there is an issue with that system. This was my second time playing Graves, I don't even own the champ ( so obviously is not about the chest , I don't even have chests available , or any other perk ), I finished the match 20/3/22 best kda in the team, best farm , most gold earned, I was second in the dmg section ( after freaking Xerath ).I was pretty sure I was going to get an S , but no A+. Please tell me what does the best player of Graves in aram do, that I didn't ( with that score ) ? There were 60 kill made by my team and I participated in 42 of those...

I submitted a ticket and waiting for a response, but if any of you have more info, or have been through similar experiences please share, this is really turning me off from playing this game. It's more then enough that you have to play with a load of flamers, and people going afk, or just not connecting to the game at all, not getting at least that little achievement is quite annoying.

I believe that farm in ARAM should be less important. Some champs NEED farm. If I have a team mate who is playing Veigar or Nasus, for instance, I will try NOT to farm so that they have better farm. I then have a stronger team mate and a better chance to win. It seems, though, that I then get penalized for not doing the farm myself. That makes no sense to me. But ... I am so old that I gave up farming many years ago.

First of all LMFAO [sg-miss-fortune] , and second that's exactly what I'm trying to say, also I got a bs answer that did not actually cleared anything up, but w/e, I just think that this should be brought to their attention more often.

It's simple. You did not rate an S grade compared to all the Graves players that played under the same situation. That's how it works. Good game but not good enough to warrant an S grade. My guess is the game lasted a long time and your farm wasn't up to par for the amount of time played.

Ok, fair enough, but why should farming have that much relevance in aram ? People don't exactly farm in aram, it's more along the lines of cleaning the lane from minions, and you either have good farm cuz you got the last hit on minions, or you have Herm ( where I got an S) and the turrets farm for you, that says nothing about my farming skill.
I honestly think that how many times you hit your skills shots, and how few deaths you have in mode that it's all about team fights should matter most then how many creeps you killed.

Those that received the S grade that you didn't shows the relevance. That is the same rules they played by and were able to achieve an S grade. We all play by the same rules, like them or not those are the rules. Farm and objectives should always have more relevance over KDA in a MOBA.

People that understand that are the better players and deserve the rewards that come with that understanding.

So you're basically saying, that in a single lane , where 5 players are supposedly farming one wave of creeps , the one that has the most creeps farmed ( basically gets the last hit ) is a better player then the one that actually hits his skill shots and doesn't die in every team fight ? Remember I am talking about what happens in aram here, also if we were to talk about normal, as a support farming isn't exactly what you're supposed to do, yes you should be able to farm, but that's not your role, why should it be judged by that ?

I'm talking about ARAM too. You are compared against those in ARAM who did better than you did. You are the one who doesn't get what I am saying. Yes, those that did what they needed to do to get an S grade are better than you were in that game.

I got what you are saying from your first post. I do not agree with the algorithm they use for this system, and I still don't think farming in aram has any relevance to your skill. Again got an S on Herm, for 103 farm in 24 mins, i'm pretty sure that besides trying to help clean the waves of creeps ( not caring about the last hit ) I did no farming, the turrets did. The fact that I can press q 3 times and place turrets who mind their own business has absolutely no connection to my actual farming skill.

You are not as good as those who received an S grade. It's that simple. Argue till you are blue in the face. You say you understand but yet you still argue. You don't understand. Your "Skill" is a combination of every facet of the game compared to those who played that same champ under the same circumstances. If you meet or exceed these standards you get an S grade. If you don't then you don't.

If I say that I agree will you chill though ? xD. I wasn't even arguing with you, I though we were having a discussion and I was presenting my arguments, but apparently I have to be wrong.

Just as a btw, everyone else on this thread feels the same way I do...so when multiple people ( and I'm sure that it isn't just the 3 or 4 of us ) tend to see a issue with that, it may be worth looking into it. Anyways, don't bother to reply, I got your point of view.

Yeah the ranking system is skewed heavily towards farm. I've done mediocre but had large CS scores and gotten S's before.

This honestly feels like bs, I play aram mainly to try random champs, and whenever I do really well on a champ that I don't usually play, it would be lovely, to have a good feedback. I have mastery 7 on Brand, got the chest, I get an S almost every time I play him, I don't really care that much about it though.

CS should not be part of the ARAM calculations. CS is completely dependent on your team comp. If I roll a karthus, I am getting most of the CS (and most of the kills) just by the nature of the champ. So if one game a person is say Ashe, and gets a team with low AoE she gets a lot of farm, but then plays in a a game with a ton of AP AoE team comp that clears waves before she ever has a chance to last hit, that somehow that CS difference shows skill difference? It is far too random to have that be a stat that matters in aram.

So what would be the stats that do matter that would show someones skill on a specific champ that is comparable? -K/D/A? -Heals? -champ damage? -obj damage? -time CC applied? -???

This is the answer they gave me : Hey there,

The score is not the only thing determining what grade you get. You need to perform perfectly in every aspect of the role/ champ you're playing, otherwise you won't get an S. We take a series of performance metrics and compare how you did to all other players in your region in that specific champion/position combination.

I know it's frustrating to have an awesome score and to know that you played amazing the entire game and receive an A or something, but this is how the system works.

Im trying to figure out how rating in aram forces people to play as a team.you are causing a im looking out for my self system. if u gonna rate anything rate the team not the signle person. look at how much aram isnt fun if people running out of the fight kuss they want to get S rating

Have you seen the match to see if I ran out or not ? You're assuming something that isn't even close to reality. If you're the type of player that only goes full in, and never backs up, that's up to you. But this was not related to that, it was more along the lines of, why should the rating system in aram take in consideration farming. And aram is quite fun, when you get people that actually know how and when to fight, and communicate.

sorry i typed in aram and rating got here. so you think its ok for tank or some1 who starts the fight or should sit back and wait to ult then run out of a fight which they are needed in just to get a better rating not a problem in a casual game. not ranked. and thats fun. i will just change and see if i become a better player then since aram is only casual or blind pick. thank you for not trying to see what im talking about. signle person rating promotes better team play ur saying if im correct
