Hello, I am a player that has really only enjoyed the game playing jungle. I have been playing on and off since season 3. But I am just so sick of either getting auto filled or getting my secondary role. I legit only know how to play jungle. I live and breath that role. If you put me auto filled/secondary, there is no question I have to dodge. I will feed because I seriously suck at every other role.

I legit just spent the last 25 mins trying to get into a normal draft game. At first I got into champ select 3 separate occasions, then other people dodge, my guess is that they didn't get the role they wanted. THEN it happens to me!!!! I get autofilled mid, so I am forced to dodge! Then now I have to wait for the dodge timer, but wait, I get into my next champ select after a 6min queue, AND I AM AUTO FILLED AGAIN. SO that is 3 dodges not from me, then 2 dodges from myself. I am just furious at this point.I just wanted to play a nice game of league, but instead I literally wasted 35mins(about the time of a match) just trying to get into a game. And it completely killed my mood so I wont be playing today.

I seriously would rather wait 10mins or more just to know that I will play jungle. This seriously turns me away from league and makes me not wanna play when things like this happen. I really think it would be possible to have players just select one role. Like I said, I will wait the time if its longer, I dont care. If I dont get the role I want it makes it a much harder game to enjoy, and for my teammates as well. They will either flame me that I am bad, or just flat out report me because I suck at every other role.

Autofill will stop when players voluntarily queue in equal numbers for all roles at all ranks.

Auto Fill has proven to be a colossal fail that does not even function as intended.

There have been instances in which players who opt to fill will be assigned roles chosen by their allies and their allies will, instead, end up filled elsewhere.

There have been instances in which as many as four players on one team will end up filled in positions they did not select.

Auto Fill does not even accomplish what Riot intended, which was to reduce queue times.

Players are waiting as many as five minutes or longer before being able to click Accept for a match. And even then there is a high probability of someone either declining the queue or someone dodging the lobby and remaining in queue after that almost guarantees you will end up filled as whoever declines or dodges creates an empty spot on a team that the match maker needs to fill.

In order to best avoid being filled, players have to reset the queue every two minutes of waiting or after each instance of someone dodging or declining the queue.

Even when and if a player receives their preferred role, it is highly likely someone on their team ended up filled, placing the team at a distinct disadvantage that makes for an unhappy experience for all involved.

Riot enforces auto fill because queue times at higher levels of play are insanely long without it. It is seen as a necessity for higher elo beyond gold. And Riot's logic behind it is 'if they have to have auto fill then it is only fair for everyone to have auto fill'. Problem is, they will neither acknowledge nor fix the bugs involved.

Seems like a silly complaint in the grand scheme of issues on league right now.

I think you should be able to have a general knowledge of each role anyways, so filling is not a bad thing in my eyes. I rarely get filled anyways I think you're exaggerating. It forces you to learn a different perspective of the game once in a while.

Seriously I do not know how this could be possible..biggest issue right now with the game is people get autofilled jungle when they can not play it..anytime I hit the fill button I am slotted jungle. If I am not autofill protected it is almost a sure thing that I will be jungle no matter the roles I choose..

Soooo RIOT.. what is wrong with your match making system that this is even possible?

I'm calling bull, there's 0% chance you're getting autofilled OUT of the jungle. IF it happened, which I VERY seriously doubt, then it maybe happened ONCE. Can't check your match history since you say you dodged, but I'm seriously not buying it, though I do support autofill priority for people that dodge :)

back in S3 there used to be a rule that say: If you want to to play ranked you have to main at least 2 champion for every role, that way if you can't get what you want or if you cant get your prefered role you still can play and be useful in the game.

I guess now that rule is bulshit, now we have to adapt the game to the mood and necessities of the player to make him happy because if not, then the game is shiit

Well, then people that choose to play Fill should be greatly rewarded since not many want to do it for the community. I choose not to FIll because it is not worth it, make it worth it and I would be happy to do it.

I don't understand what you're worried about. Pick jungle primary, mid secondary and you will get jungle 99%, and ADC/top/support the other 1%.

Jungle is the least picked role this season and mid is most popular. Btw I main jungle and have played about 50 games ranked in pre season. Never once got anything but jungle with this strategy.

Autofill in Normal Draft is horrible. I pick Top/Mid as Primary/Secondary, yet I get autofilled every 3 games and it's horrible.

Autofill needs to happen much less often, like about 10% of my games, not a f**king 33.3%.

Autofill only makes sense in Diamond 1+ games because of how thin the population is in D1 Master GM & Challenger, below that this system is just not doing anything, the que times below diamond were never insane, the games were starting within 1 - 5 minutes 99% of the time. Autofill makes people dodge a lot more and thus extending que times, not reducing them.

I'm not a fan of autofill but I think you should at least be able to play two roles no matter what. It's one thing to hate being autofilled to a certain role like Support or ADC but not wanting to play any role other than your primary role is just not a viable option for League and never will be.

Protip:

Take mid as second role and reset queue around 1:30. At least for EUW Dia4 it's 1:30. After that chances are high I get my second role or autofill. Before that time I always get first role.

Mid as second role because it's most picked role and chances are higher they give you jungle then.

I get support or top or adc and I know that I have lost the game before it even starts. Autofill is soooo amazing.

I remember i was duoing with an ADC while I was supporting and I got bot while he got jungle. An ADC getting autofilled jungle makes sense, but adc is the 2nd most popular role, while support is the 5th

I totally agree with you, yesterday in champ select I was mid, and my jng got autofilled, luckily for him someone dodged, but in the next champ select there was him, autofilled again, we were like... seriously?[slayer-jinx-unamused]

How are you getting auto-filled as a Jungle primary?? That's where people get auto-filled TO.

I usually pick top/support or top/mid or support/top and I don't get autofilled very often, but if I do, its usually jungle. I'm actually shocked you get autofilled, so many people talk about getting autofilled in jungle. My queue only takes around 3 minutes. It might have to do with when you play LoL I guess.

Autofill doesnt need to stop or rather shouldnt stop but it does need changes. The way autofill has been working just seems lke its broken. If i am getting autofilled ADC in a game with an ADC main i really do not understand how/why that is happening. Second, if the wait times arent that long i do not understand why i am getting autofilled in a 30s-1m queue.

I 100% agree, I just got autofilled jungle, So I dodged and had a 5 minute penalty, after the penalty I had to wait in que for about 5 minutes for the next champ select,Im just thinking to myself, ya there is no way I get autofilled twice in a row... I get into champ select and autofilled jungle again!!! So as a result I dodge having to wait 15 minutes... Like are you fking kidding me? And im currently typing this comment now with 5 minutes left on this 15min dodge. As a player who doesn't want to experience this shit, we have no control over it... Like... I wish there was an option to allow us to just wait longer que times just so we don't have to get autofilled. Because now im getting flags on my account for having to dodge stupid autofilll.

Learn other roles. Autofill will only get worse as years go.
