I might be wrong, but is the current ER nerf not actually a buff?

So they nerf the cost by making it 100g more expensive, I get that (Although I would've preferred 200g so it costs the same as IE). But then they change the build path and change Pickaxe into B.F. Sword. Is this not just a huge buff to the item? People can now build a B.F. Sword instead of having to buy a pickaxe and some other random item, thus increasing their early game damage.

not rlly a buff, it is very much a direct nerf, it does somewhat help, but it also hinders since now you have to buy a bigger item, which you can't always do at times

Waiting for 1300g is a nerf, before the 875 was very easy to obtain in Lane, even when you are behind.

No because BFSword is not efficient.

Pickaxe + 2 longswords = 45 AD Total cost: 1575g Pickaxe + Longsword = 35 AD total cost: 1225g

BFSword = 40 AD Cost: 1300g Given a static game state, an ADC would have to secure first blood and/or kill the same champion twice to get a BFSword when they could've got a Pickaxe, but the end item is exactly the same.

An interesting fact is the current recipe on the table for ER Pushes the component cost to Essence Reaver's entire cost - Hence the price increase by 100g. in other words, youre only getting ERs components for the same amount of gold as you were getting the full item
