League's grading system is confusing.

Ok, so I am a Caitlyn main. I have had multiple S's for her already so I am not complaining. I just don't get how this works.

I went 21/6/20 with Caitlyn with 198 farm. The game was 37:07 long ( I know the farm is bad ). I got an A+ for that performance Link for more detailed info about that game: http://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/EUW1/2707511610/34899791?tab=overview

Then a few games later, when I played Caitlyn, i went 8/7/10 with 181 farm. The game was 32:42 long. I got a S+ for it http://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/EUW1/2708774477/34899791?tab=overview

I know that there are lot's of factors but.. come on. This? [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Is there someone that knows how and why? I searched it up but couldn't really find an answer.

My understanding is that grading is comparative in many ways.

First it is compared to you're teammates and enemies performance, and I believe you have to do well compared to them.

It's also compared to how other players in your region have played that champion recently. So if some level one first timer goes 0 and 26 with cait, that'll drag the average down. Now, I'm certain there are bars in place to stop a five man from farming 0/20 games and them S'ing out on mediocre scores, because it took me six seconds to think that farm up, so riot probably did too.

It also count's your tower participation so just be around whenever a tower falls and you'll probably get s's more often.

Anyway there you have it. Everything I understand about the ranking system.

Thanks for your reply. I know it's been five months but I had honestly totally forgotten about this ^^' I appreciate the time you took to explain this to me.
