Tanky jungler + kill participation or damage jungler + do your own thing?

Hi all,

As a jungle main and support secondary, I build tanky and work with my teammates to win games, but it does not seem to work for me for some reasons. I have 57% kill participation, but I am still not doing well in my ranked games. I have noticed some of my friends can climb the rank much further than me without going over 50% in kill participation. Should I just build to be a damage dealer and forget the team oriented plays of being a tanky jungler?

If you main jungle/support, you should be the shot caller in your games.

Call out the objectives based on the current circumstances of the game and lead your team to the win. Other laners need to focus on gold, but your job is to keep the other players from tunnel visioning and push them towards objectives that will win the game. The kills and kill participation will be a naturally occurring byproduct of this mindset.

depends on your comp. if you have a tank top it's easier to get away with a damage jungler.

don't just look at kill participation as a measure of your contribution, what matters is if you're there for the right kills.
