Why is this ok....?

Watching Fnatic vs Origen... Tristana literally almost got 2 penta-kills from her sheer amount of damage (Among a couple games). This got me thinking, while isn't necessarily a knock ONLY on Tristana per say, but it seems like Riot is driving the entire game to 1 misclick and you lose.

FotM ADC's 2-shot squishies and melt tanks like no ones business. However, it doesn't stop there, it seems like there are more and more champions that plague non pro play that fall in this category of able to 100-0 someone in less than second: Rengar, Riven, Fizz, Azir (1000's of damage all in 100% AOE in a split second), Talon , Gangplank (I think I saw 1550 crit in an AOE...!?!?), Zed (to some extent, but at least has some counter play with item 3157/item 3140/item 3139 on his ult). To top that off, we're even moving into Bruisers being able to do the same if they get a lead, while remaining fairly tanky (yes i'm looking at you, Garen and Darius ) and I wont even start in on Skarner .

It's just sad to see the game moving in this direction. I remember back in season 2 worlds, where it took an entire team being highly coordinated and not just one damage threat critting for 1400 damage+ to win a team fight. There weren't any towers melting in 3 shots, and penta-kills were rare and something special... now it's like oh look, Sivir and Tristana got another penta kill, woo -_-

Am I the only one with this feeling or is all just #lcsbigplays now?

Yeah, Riot has sold out to the LCS. It's where the money is. Dont like, you'd do it too. I still enjoy the game, however.

Insane burst damage isn't new. Most champions have been toned down in favor of actually having legitimate mechanics. Not to mention that a lot of assassin and ADC itemization has gotten weaker over the years.

Mobility has gone up but, across the board people are dealing less damage now than they were in S2.

Just think back to the days when anyone could throw on a 1.0 Scaling lich bane and a DFG and be an assassin. Not to mention the kind of damage that gave actual assassins.

We're not even talking about the days of AP YI and AP Trynd, or Jax gaining max HP from dealing damage. The only people who really are dealing more damage now are junglers because they finally got diverse itemization instead of all just building wriggles or being fiddlesticks.

The game has gotten A LOT better about champions just smearing you against the wall, especially because adjustments to problem champs also happens much more quickly.

I dunno, I mean I get what you're both saying, but it seems the game is more snowbally than ever before. I mean there are just too many champs that can single handily turn and entire 5v5 team fight while having minimal counter play or risk.

I guess just being nostalgic of the days of if you wanted certain things too happen you had to pick certain champs. Just made the games a little more dynamic compared to now that the overloaded champs do it all.
