First Tower Blood isn't inherently bad

(This is merely my opinion)

First tower blood is a pretty useful mechanic where it incentivize a champion to make a choice whether to roam or to stay in lane. In the past, take top or mid (moreso in particular) losing some CS was nothing compared to the potential momentum you could gain by fighting down bot - you'd gain some kills/assists and a tower or dragon for what; about 2/3 waves of creeps with perfect CS.

With FB on the tower, you can make a non-roaming mid gain a decent gold advantage by taking the first tower or you can punish a top that made a poor Teleport decision. It creates some feel good moments without being completely overwhelming to the opposition.

The issue, I believe, is the environment. Rift Herald is underwhelming for the effort put into it, Dragon is still obscenely good and bot towers don't have the 7 minute shield, which means you can gain significant chip damage compared to other lanes, and with luck, also two potential enemies to kill. In summary, there is little reason to not be hanging around bot side.

Simply removing or reducing FB tower gold does nothing to fix the issues currently with the environment and essentially is a wasted nerf.

FB on a tower isn't big enough to be considered snowbally, but what is snowbally is having 2 big neutral objectives in a lane with the most champions so early in the game where one bad fight can be hard to recover from.

TL;DR: Tower FB gold isn't flawed, the uneven distrubtion of objectives toward bot lane needs to be spread out.
