Let's talk about the state of League or Riot games.

Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a pleasant start in the new year.

So back into the topic: State of League.

The game had become more flashy over the years focusing only on competitive resulting in a poor quality overall. My understanding is if you need external tools to understand what happened to you then the way information is conveyed, is really bad. The flashiness does lead to more enjoyable plays overall when you go into a higher tier of gameplay. However flashy plays do not always mean enjoyable gameplay. It is something you want to see in the worlds', for example, however, worlds had become a running meme by itself. For the past few years, the amount of dmg output had been rising it is satisfying to see your enemy die in 2 seconds but not if you are all equally passed (items, levels, skill). Also, the lack of drawbacks in some champions' abilities is infuriating. There are champions who got good ability stats, scaling, and utility. Resulting in really WT* moments. The current champions pull is in my opinion full of champions who do virtually the same just reskin and bit of thematic change. For me, this makes the current banning system a bit outdated. Because for me personally it is more important to not play against a certain type of playstyle, rather than a champion.

The infuriating gameplay that is beeing promoted aswell promotes excessive toxicity before Dota 1 was considered the king of toxic, now that is League of legends. I believe that is the cause of the desire of Riot games to make the game flashy, more fast-paced, more Watchable in Championships. However, let me tell you a secret I do not enjoy watching worlds anymore. The reason is too much Visual nose. Too much disconnect b/n reality and fiction. For me personally, the way I feel it is that the game had become less of a game to be played and enjoyed but more of a promotional piece of services that exist outside of the game. Tools that you have to buy/own so you can perform.

About the new Season. I believe it is total garbage. Elemental drakes are bad for it. The new jungle feels bad, half of the junglers that exist are unplayable in it. In few worlds everything you had said to happen happened in reverse. The addition of new hide spots makes conveying information even more hard. Elemental drake terrain change is happening way too late to have any impact and it is kind of there to annoy you and distract you. Also, the "new" items are not really that good because you replaced existing items with closes of the same effect. I would like more items. By more, I mean more than 14 new ones with new effects that add utility or effects that help struggling champions rise and have a good drawback so currently strong champions do not abuse them.

The question I want to ask is why do you play video games?

Riot never seems to learn nowadays that you can't just throw more shit at the fan to remove the already existing faeces that is present on the fan.

They likely need a complete restructure of their balance and design team(s).

If the idea is to make SR a lot shorter with all these changes, and by the looks of everyone screaming, "D A M A G E" on the boards. Then I'd suspect that it's players that like to grind Ranked and get through games quicker but also for players that want to take a 'break' from League can go player other League(tm) games. Like Legends of Runeterra, TFT, and whatever other games Riots brewing. That way players stay, more or less, loyal to the Riot Games brand. So they don't feel like they lost a lot of time playing SR and can go play a campaign of TFT or mellow out an play some LoR.

As for your last questions, that's subjective to a case by case basis. I play X Y and Z titles for different reasons I play A B and C titles. I liked playing League because I enjoyed outplaying or looking for opportunities to outplay.

i died ganking bot 2v1 against a thresh and hiemer. the funny thing is hiemer did 400 damage meanwhile thresh did 600+ damage total. what a world where supports deal that much dmg as a tank support.

Honestly riot has a fun game and a good product. I love this game.

But i hate the community Riot needs to put some focus into finding a way to Stop the horribly increase in Throw away accounts and bought accounts. bots are pumping out fresh accounts and people buy them with usually the sole purpose for end of season rewards or flat out troll accounts.

its really bad now and extremely toxic and infuriating because these people troll rage and ruin games with 0 fear or any punishment besides the loss of 5 dollars which seems the running price for a fresh lvl 30 account
