Suggestion to Lower the Rate of Toxicity.
First off, could you imagine not having to listen to people raging, bullying, cursing, name calling, insulting, ranting, and making excuses WITHOUT having to do anything to turn off their chat? Sure, you could just mute them. But then what happens when they want to let the team know that an Enemies Summoners are down, or when an areas warded, or when they want to ask, for junglers, if someone needs blue/red?
My Suggestion here would be, People should start off with everyone Muted by default. And as above, "But what if they have something useful to say, like summoners being down or warded areas?" Well then, why don't we have something like Pings for that? I mean, we have pings for the enemy being gone from their lane, to warn people they are in danger, to tell them to be careful because they could potentially be missing the fact someones coming to gank them, and to let people know we are coming to help. All useful information. But so is knowledge on the enemies Summoner Spells. Ganks can succeed more often when the enemies flash is down, and lanes can be more aggressive when a strong opponents Teleport is down. Their Barrier can save them just enough to escape the gank, or take some of the damage long enough to go in and get a kill. Same idea with Heal. Cleanse to avoid wasting your only CC on champs like Ahri, Lux, Amumu, anyone with just one Snare/Stun to lock down a target. Surely you all can think of reasons for knowing why any Summoner Spell being used can be useful.
I just think it would be nice to not have to listen to someones raging and complaining, their cursing and insulting, and still get the useful information like that. Not a ping for every individual Summoner Spell, but say, a ping for "<Target>'s Summoner Spell 1/2 is on cooldown" or "<Target> has used Summoner Spell 1/2" and a ping for "That Bush/Camp/Spot is Warded" or "Enemy ward around here" in a target area.
You could still make the choice to unmute people, or you can keep them muted, avoid risking toxic chats, and focus solely on whats important in game. I believe this could potentially cut down on the negative impact that comes with Toxic Behavior, and make the game possibly more appealing to new, casual players who don't enjoy being cursed at or yelled at or insulted. This could also make the job of ganking a little bit easier, giving the players more information to decide if its a good time to gank a lane.
I apologize that this post is rather long winded and rant-like, but thanks for taking the time to read it and have fun in game :)
