I need help understanding Tryndamere

I seriously need help understanding Tryndamere. I have been playing this game for 4 years now, and for the longest time I've felt that Tryndamere just isn't fun to play against. Every time I browse the forums for this subject the response is always the same: the post gets downvoted, with barely no comments and people responding with something along the lines of ''Get good'', ''Pff Trynda is so underpowered I can kite him with anyone'' or ''Just use CC and buy armor''. The thing is, I don't find this kind of response very helpful. Every time I face a Tryndamere I get completely destroyed just because (the way I see it) he use E W on me, crits me until i'm dead and just Ults E Q to safety. Plus, the Tryndameres I'm facing top just rush Guinsoo's Rageblade so armor isn't very helpful against mix damage. This is frustrating because I fell like I can't do anything to stop him and I just lose all my will to play the game. So i beg you, please tell me why you think Tryndamere isn't as OP as a lot of people (including me) think, and what I can do to survive a trade with him. Also, try not to be very harsh on me, I know I'm just a Gold pleb so please have mercy. Thank you for reading.

I've found nasus is actually really strong against tryndamere.

If he goes in on you, wither, spirit fire, start q'ing - if you're winning the trade keep doing it, if you're losing back down. You'll be able to fine cause he's withered.

Hm, interesting, I'll definitely try Nasus next time i see a Tryndamere on the enemy team. I tried Quinn the other game to try the kiting strategy but unfortunately good kiting mechanics plus Tier 3 Swiftness weren't enough to stop the enemy Tryndamere from destroying me under tower. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Cheers.

Screw the boots of swiftness, get BORK + ninja tabi. You should be bullying him all game long. Most champions can bully tryndamere as long as he doesn't have fury built up. You just have to know where you can position yourself that he can't jump on your face and kill you. Stay near the creep wave so if he jumps on you he takes full creep wave damage. Attack him CONSTANTLY when he tries to CS and make him back off. Poke him so he has to use his fury to heal. Get cutlass before he does (which you ABSOLUTELY should be able to do as Quinn vs Tryndamere). Spin + mocking shout isn't really hard to get away from. But spin + mocking shout + trynd using his cutlass when you don't have one, you're gonna be in some trouble.

i haven't played in a bit so unless hes been buffed or something trynd typically only has two modes Fed where he can kill a squishy in 2 hits everyone else in 3. So he'll be or at least feel OP or Not Fed where hes a giant wimp that can't to anything the entire fight so people will say hes "underpowered" He probably needs to be looked at and fixed so hes at least more engaging to play because he's kinda boring and has that annoying win or lose dynamic.

I don't believe he was buffed recently, the the recent change to Warlord's Bloodlust definitely helps Tryndamere players since it gives him so much lifesteal. I do agree that if Trynd gets behind he won't be able to fight back much, but all Trydameres I face never leave Top and just farm and push towers like crazy. By the time I finish helping my team, I can't fight him 1v1 even under tower because of that Ultimate. So I guess what I find frustrating about Trynd isn't just his kit, but also his play style. I definitely appreciated your response. Cheers.

Well by fixed i meant reworked really. What everyone else is true and helpful but funny enough playing as trynd doesn't feel very rewarding I've tried.all u do really is AA all day with no real strategy. he feel more like a shitty assassin. but while assassins have moves with a lot of options and uses his moves a boring and only has 1 purpose. spin into squishy AA, slow(which only works when their running away), heal when low then ult.only one their with a second use is the spin which u can use to also run away. He has to split push because like i said if he isn't fed he needs to get fed. Which makes his team pretty much always have a 4 v 5. if u can push with ur team after winning team fights you'll go faster and win, especially if one player goes to slow him down. I don't hate him but there are way better bruisers out there that can survive longer just by being tankier and more useful in fights.

pick champs with aa slows, blinds and dodges. try to safely make him waste his ult, and never fight him while he's ulting. he's pretty item dependent so if you can freeze lane as much as possible, but don't let him roam either.

Play nasus or malphite against him and it's a free win. Any tank really. Once you get sunfire and another chainvest he can't do anything so just farm until then. And ignore his rageblade it's irrelevant if you're a tank. rageblade hits like 45 magic damage, so maybe 30 after mr. So completely ignorable item rageblade is trash anyways.

The gameplan is farm up 1-2 armor items so tyrnd can't 1v1 you. He will then look to sneak and kill your towers so just force teamfights and save tp for your tower after fights. You can also get zz'rot and definitely get deadmans plate so you can roam back to your tower after you win fights where he's absent. And if he tries to teamfight he will do poorly for his team compared to a tank. People say get good because it's a free win.

Fighting Tryndamere is a lot like fighting a jungler with sated devorer, with an easier time itemizing against, basically you want to 1) reduce his attack speed, this can be acomplished via abilities like Nasus', or with items like Frozen Heart and Randuin's Omen(!) 2) You want to make his ult ineffecive as possible by making sure he can't get away, the reson for this is because trynd can use ult even when under the effects of hard cc, however it has a short duration, and once it is over he will be realatively easy to kill, so what you need to do is A) stick to him if you're tanky enough to survive a few of his autos, or B) take just enough distance to kite him, while not letting him get away from your damage range, whether this is through long range abilities or through gap closers, is for you to think of at the time.

Final tip, try to stop him from farming, because he is really really good at it.
