Just keep doing it and have fun climbing. Once it stops working when you get to higher elos, stop using it.

I do the same thing with AP Warwick top during placements -> Diamond. Funny and fun. Stops working past Plat.

Well your basicly playing another mage that scales worse in abilites than most of mages. That might work greatly until you find a players that can CC you or dodge your abilities. Kai'Sa is hardly a burster nor an artillery. Glad if you enjoy playing her like that.

Yeah I agree there is definitely a point in which it will become much less effective, but I would disagree with the scaling and the cc since the way I play this path is typically very safe and a lot of the time I don't die through out the entire match. I'd also argue that dodging it sounds easy in practice or theory, but it'd not very easy to doge when either it comes from over a wall or you're already cc'd which is usually when I choose to fire it most the time because of the added dmg it does based off how many passive stacks are on the target.
