Suicide as a tactic?

More specifically when a champion who is attacking a tower gets cornered by their enemies And chooses to get killed by the tower rather than fight. (This happened to me the other day and I felt a little cheated.)

I mean I understand that at that point the champion is dead anyway, but I find it... Odd That it is beneficial to get executed by a turret rather than fight, it just seems out of place to me.

Now I'll point out that I understand it's to deny gold and experience to the enemy team, what I don't understand why that is.

It seems to me the champion has made a bad move and the enemy team should get to capitalize on it.

Am I right? Am I wrong? Should I not be playing League?

I wanted to see people's reaction to this question. Thank you for your time and happy hunting!

in my eyes he did make a "bad move", no mistake was made if he had made a mistake.. he would have been caught and killed by you

to have been able to either avoid you entirely or avoid you LONG ENOUGH till its considered out of combat... and get executed?? well then, that is some sick manuevering on top of that if you chased for that long instead of being more productive, it is YOU who made the mistake

I wasn't talking about chasing them around, I was talking about blocking them between my team and our turret And them running away To die under turret Instead of fighting. (Before we could catch them obviously)

Aside from that I do see your point (though I'm still not crazy about the mechanic)

I like how that system works as of right now, personally. It adds another strategic option when you're in a tight spot or tower diving.

Suicide is often a good tactic!

Even not even considering Executions

Example of Suicides as powerful tactics

=A good Engage (lets be honest Engaging can often mean death for you, even if you win the teamfight) =During disengages, you find enemy team will catch you - turn around and save your team =To block a skill shot that would kill an ally who has higher shutdown gold than you (or is more important) =If the enemy team has really strong slows/lock and/or you have bad escapes (at least try to take someone down with you!)

Oh sure those are all ways of dying but the only one I would count as suicide is blocking a skill shot to save an ally. (Which is a little bit different than what I was talking about)
