Opinions on Ahri changes

I would like to know everyone's opinion on Ahri's rework. Many are calling it a buff while others are calling it a nerf. I myself find it to be quite a nerf. Yes, her other abilities got something of a buff (nothing major at all), but they destroyed her bread and butter: her damage amp on her E. Riot said they wanted to make her less of an assassin and more of a kiting mage. However, with the meta currently only really looking at high-burst mages/assassins at mid, that pretty much just means she will never win 1v1 against her laner. Her mana consumption is still too high to really call her effective at poking, and the second hit of her Q is not that hard to dodge, even if you try to re-position yourself with the silly speed buff. The "buff" to the other abilities is hardly even noticeable and does not make up for what she lost. I understand Riot's intentions I suppose, but to me this just made her even less viable in the current meta, the exact opposite of what they said they were trying to do. To reiterate, the loss of both the damage amp from DFG and her E at the same time is not made up for by a meager damage buff and an awkward movement speed mechanic. This was, without a doubt, a nerf to a champion that was already outclassed by a lot of other midlaners.

Despite my wording, this was all intended to be written as strongly worded opinion. I would like to see everyone else's view on the topic and would also like to know if they're still working on Ahri. Though this had made her less viable to me (a shame considering she's one of the champs I main) maybe your opinions and experiences are different.

It is objectively a buff.

Those who claim otherwise in the face of an increased winrate, pickrate, AND banrate suffer from extreme cases of confirmation bias.

number wise its a buff game wise its a nerf (removing a carry>tossing dmg all the time)

increased winrate is due to better aoe (we already had loads of champs who had good winrates just because they had good aoe dmg)

increased pickrate is a normal thing when riot pokes a championin other way that simply nerfing him (happened also when they made jungle irelia a thing)

banrate increase means it was a buff ?

from the last time azir was nerfed his banrate also got up, so he was buffed?

also her banrate is at 4% iit means literaly nothing here

my personal opinion is that ahri is slightly less viable than she was before, riot still needs to polish her new changes a little before she performs as intended

I agree, the only reason she is being banned more often at the moment is because people heard she had changes done and some interpreted it as a buff, without reading the patch notes or looking farther into it. If they want this to be her play style then that's fine, but they need to do a better job of it.
