Hitbox question

Ok simple but serious question here- What is Sona's hitbox and do any of her skins change it?

In my recent ranked games I've been playing her more because at my tier she's ez game ez life but my most recent match was vs a caitlyn adc. No less than four times in this match I attempted to block Cait's R from killing a teammate only to have the bullet appear to fly straight through me and kill my ally anyway. Included question on skins too because I seem to encounter things like this more often when I use Muse Sona but that may of course just be a coincidence.

I'm just a silver tier player who wants to keep allies alive; advice would be cool thanks

Sona can be confusing because she has cloth flying all around her. Just imagine where her actually body would be, and that's that hitbox. Also, skins NEVER change anything regarding the champions gameplay interactions.

Skins don't actually change anything gameplaywise (with the exception of skins with sunglasses taking 1 less damage from leona); hitboxes all stay exactly the same as well as animation times and so on.

That said, the different particles and/or sound effects can throw off people who are used to specific visual/aural cues (sometimes even if they're not conscious of it) so occasionally things feel different. If you dig right into it and count frames and so on though, everything does work out identical.
