New champs in ranked?

I have no idea if somebody from Riot notices this topic or not but I really hope they do. It happened with Ivern, it happened with Kayn, and right now its happening with Ornn. I know that other players should play the champs they want to play and enjoy playing them and i always try to make them play this kind of champs. But new champs... Ornn has not been released for 24 hours and i had him in my previous ranked game already. I told him not to pick because i was on 100% sure he would lose his lane. And guess what. He did. And we lost. Im not saying it was because of him. I was not doing any better but when somebody in your team feeds his guts off it does have an impact on the entire team. When he is 0/3 and you tell him just to play safe that you will help him its still okay. But when he is 2/8 there is nothing you can do really right now. He gives up, entire team gives up, nobody cares anymore and eventually you will lose.

Im not trying to offend anyone, not saying that they are bad but I think new released champs should be banned from ranked queues at least for week or two after their release. NOBODY can play new champs properly no matter what they say. And especially when new champ is only maybe 2 hours after its release. Nobody can play him on ranked level, nobody knows what items are best for him yet, who is his counter, how to play him from mechanical perspective. 4 people still can win 4v5 match ( ive won 3v5 so i believe in anything now ) but when new champ comes out and some players decide to become one trick ornn after his release not even bother to play in normals first just head to the ranked queue, dont understand the mechanics, feed, complain and at the end of the game they say " I dont like this new champ " its so hard to carry anything there or to encourage the rest of the team. Please Riot think about it.

Sincerely, Lafo

Why would you offend anybody? I think everybody thinks this way.

Thing is, not everyone has a single digit IQ. This game is beyond easy, and the champs are beyond easy. I play a few games, and wow, I know how to play the champ.

Not everyone needs weeks to learn a new 3-4 buttons.

I agree with this. PERSONALLY I think Ornn is a great support champ since he does a lot that can help an ADC (Knockups, brittle), but I have yet to see an Ornn win top lane after playing 3-5 games with one. Not saying he's a bad top laner, but due to the fact he just came out it's easier to make mistakes as a support with someone else with you.

I haven't played him in ranked and probably won't for a while.

Ill play the champ for a couple games to kinda learn how toskills work then if i feel like i go into rank the same day or the very next one. If my teammates ban him then i dont get mad and if they dont then ill go him. Ornn wise its kinda been hit or miss for top but ornn really isnt to hard to learn and if you are losing lane you do what everyone else who loses lane does and just stay under tower. Then again bronze is a magical place where bot lane with a veig jg literally laning with the duo is viable.
