I think the punishment for dodging needs to be increased, regardless of the reason. Like a 24 ban for dodging in champ select.

Dodges are often used to avoid a troll or avoid a role that someone is forced into but is extremely bad at. Is having your queue extended just a little bit not worth that? Not saying all dodging is "good" though; some people need to just suck it up and play the hand they're dealt.

agreed, too many times people say "i have to dodge, i cant play anything but adc" or "i can only play yi jungle"... if you dont know different roles or different champs i suggest playing aram, i play at least 1 aram a day before norms because its a nice warm up without people being too serious and it lets you experiment and try diff champs that youve never played before

I have to dodge because of "first time x champion" or trolls. I think they should make a report button in champ select and if 3 of 5 people report that person the game is dodged, and if it happens 2 times in one day, they get a 1 day ban. This would help so much.

saying that we as the non-troll players just have to "deal" with the trolls is the wrong mindset, the game developers should beable to figure out a way to not have trolls negatively affect everyone else who actually wants to play the game and should punish the players who still find a way to ruin the game for others, i shouldnt be punished for avoiding those players whose sole goal is to ruin the game for me because they find it amusing

Uh no, I won't deal with a known afk/laggy/dc'ing person whom I've already played with and lost a game because of. It's bull that I get a longer queue time for avoiding a match like that. The way I see it, lose 5 lp or 20+? If they make more sever punishments for dodging the idiots of the game then I'll probably just quit and take my wallet with me.

dodging penalty's needs to be Significantly decreased. as it is 100% necessary due to the amount of trolls. OR install a kick/refill button.

dude i like the kick/refill button idea! if everyone on the team votes to boot a player cuz theyre trolling. that would help alot in saving you from having to go through 5 queues and waiting 5 mins for a game.

Yes but what if you are solo and everybody else is in a 4-man group and you want to play something that they don’t want you to play? If they all don’t like that then they will kick you out for trying something new or for just trying to play the game

okay so i think that we shouldnt be penalized for leaving during champ select in a game when someone on my team can just afk and not get any penalty, kinda promoting the wrong kind of mentality, i would have no issue for a penalty for dodging if there were a kind of team builder but for ranked, if you could select your role before being placed in ranked then there would be no reason to dodge and thus should invoke a penalty, but if i happen to be placed in the one role im not prepared to play i dont think i should be penalized for dodging the game and saving everyone a loss, or maybe in there were some way to vote for a dodge if the entire team in okay with it, im just saying that the way to current system is set up punishes good people and encourages trolling, imo

I agree with all but the role bit, If you're playing ranked you honestly should be prepared to play any role.

I am currently at about 20 minutes of dodgers, this punishment needs to be more, I don't care what you cannot play, or have a troll "adc or feed". I spend about the same amount of time a match goes for in a dodging game. Needs to be fixed, dodging punishment needs to be as serious as the rest.

hey, i think in ranked play, you should totally increase the penalty for Q dodge. im tired of going through 3 or 4 lobbies per game. norms whatever, but if you dodge in ranked it should be 20 min lockout and -15 Lp

I could not agree more. The punishment needs to be much stiffer. In my experience more than half of game do not get through camp select due to dodging. The punishment should be at least 20 minutes if not longer.
