Am I The only one getting +17 per win and -20 per lose ?

My Winrate and my kda are good, and my mmr is higher than my current rank, but i still get +17 per win and -20 per lose... Can someone expalin this ? IG name: TrevorB EUW

I'd be wary about making statements like "my mmr is higher than my current rank", since you can't actually see your mmr.

Third party estimates like on op.gg are sometimes pretty inaccurate (particularly near start of seasons before many games are played), and usually the way to tell they're inaccurate is by looking at your LP gains, and if gains<losses, it means your MMR is actually lower than expected.

Looking at your op.gg, you're on a good pace and your mmr is probably rising faster than your rank, so if you keep things up things probably will turn around and you'll gain more than you lose. You just haven't played that many games yet relatively speaking, so your mmr is still recovering from (your not-so-successful previous season+the mmr soft reset at the start of the season). I suspect op.gg and similar tend to have a rough time accounting for the mmr resets, so it thinks your mmr is a little higher than it actually is.

edit: Also keep in mind if you duo, that'll throw things off too. If you have a higher than your rank mmr, but duo with someone with a much lower mmr, it's matchmaking you based on that average mmr, so if you're playing in relatively low mmr games, lp gains/losses will depend on that average mmr.

The system is encouraging you to try harder. Besides, your MMR gains are hard capped at 20.

The average MMR for your league is 970, but you are standing at 1013 (43 pt. Difference) after winning a bit more, it should return to normal.

do you mean lp? you areny hardcapped at 20 lp a game, im currently gaining 26 a game .-.

Your MMR increases per win.

But the amount of MMR gained at most will only be ~20

He is talking about LP gains. But how much LP you get is tied to your MMR. If hes losing more then hes gaining, his MMR is incredibly low.

Your Shen game was your B4 promo I guess? If yes then your Darius game would have made you negative LP [perhaps about 20] wich you "pay back" with LP of your next wins [perhaps 4 per match and so up to 5 wins with lower LP as you would gain normally]. Just my guess how it works.
