What are some good starter tips and champions?

You just made a perfect selection over there, really. You're lacking a tank I'd say trundle, not many skillshots and he's fun. A lot of sustain and 1v1 as well and good scaling.

For tips: You should always work on improving your cs. Unless you are getting every single minion per wave, you can improve.

Try to watch your positioning in fights: Don't get trapped by the enemy team running around terrain, as ashe and lissandra, you want to mainly skirt the fight without getting collapsed on.

Do not blame someone else for a lost game, whether or not it was their fault, but instead focus on how you could have played better.

Last but most certainly not least: Wards. You always need wards. pick up 1 or 2 on every back where you can afford them, unless you desperately need the hundred or so gold to finish your items.
