My first promotion series, worst 2 games of my life and some back story. Share your experiences!
Man, sometimes after a long hard day I long to kick back and play some League and -maybe- have a good time. Sure maybe ranked isn't the best place to relax for some people but I really enjoy a competitive match to keep me engaged and on my feet.
This is my first season in League of legends and I love it. I started a few months back and after a few hundred games I was placed into the silver league. I'm not sure exactly how I skipped bronze as the players I was now matched with were far more knowledgeable at the game than me (counter picks, mechanics etc) but I've been learning and trying my best to improve.
Now onto this promotion series. Finally after a few weeks of winning a few, losing a ton and then finally getting a nice long winning streak I reached 100 LP and was up for promotion to move onto silver IV.
Eagerly I queued up and was met with silence in the lobby. People silently picked their champions and I was quick to say that I would fill although nobody really cared to discuss a team comp regardless. Now, our ADC, Vayne, I hope you're reading this. This person was not just toxic they were literally scum.
Let me give you a few quotes from the match
" You should all kill yourselves " " I'm going to AFK " (said roughly 7 or 8 times) " Insert every curse words here followed by one of my team-mate names "
and much much more I'd rather not recall.
Mind you, I usually mute these toxic people but she was my ADC and we needed to communicate in order to win, in fact, we were winning our lane by a lot but she kept flaming at me for kill stealing, mind you these were kills 100% out of her securable zone. Anyway, this game was horrible and of course we lost. The 2nd game I played had various toxic players, raging, yelling and acting childish before the game had even started. In the end the score was something like 7/40 and I just felt so horrible.
To top it all off I lost 39 LP for losing the series, felt like crap and have to climb all the way back up. Sorry for the rant guys. Feel free to share your own story's regarding your promos or league series and we can all have a laugh about how absurd this community and game can be :)
