A question about Worlds 2018 loot

Learn more: Worlds Season 2018 Event

So, I've been looking at what I want to get for my precious Worlds Tokens in the loot. I've already gotten the Golden Chroma and Border for Kha'Zix.

Now I'm wondering whether the Golden Chromas and Borders will be made limited after this Worlds (like what happened with Championship Ashe) or if they will return during future Worlds events.

The reason why I ask is because it is made obvious that some of the loot will be Worlds 2018 exclusive, just by looking at their names and using some common sense (Golden 2018 Championship Ward; Golden 2018 Championship Emote; etc. etc.)

Even though this is made pretty clear, I have not yet been able to find any official statements from Riot which confirm whether the status of the Golden Chromas and the Borders are exclusive to Worlds 2018 or whether they will return in the future.

If anyone is able to help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it because I'd like to know whether I need to prioritize getting the Chromas and Borders, or whether I can chill the grind a bit and just get the stuff which we know is 2018 exclusive. I really hope the latter is the case, since I'm currently writing exams which count 60% of my year mark (I hate that Worlds and my exams always clash, but oh well) so having that much less to worry about would be amazing.

Thanks in advance

I'm wondering why my points are being help hostage until i pay 20$ for them, for the same price might as well get the actual skin

I mean, to be quite fair, your comment is a bit of an exaggeration (you've also kinda missed the point of this thread but anyways).

The Worlds Pass is +/-$10, for 15 tokens for every First Win of the Day + bonus tokens for every game you play, regardless of whether you win or not. I'd personally say that its worth, also considering the rewards.

Also keep in mind that Riot is a business and as such, they need to make money in some way. The Pass is an efficient way of doing so. It was also highly requested by players in the past when events felt like there were way too many different individual and separated purchases, so the Pass is essentially a way of compressing the sales whilst still providing players with a means to engage in the event, and rewarding players for doing so. It does suck that you have to pay, but Riot has to make money somehow. Just be glad that it isn't Pay to Win or like DoTA 2's Battle Pass (where you get exclusive "premium" access to certain gamemodes and events), and instead it's just cosmetics for League.

Just a side note: for $20, you could get the pass and an Epic Skin as well (so saying "might as well get the actual skin" was kind of redundant.)

:P

I thought LC$ was their money maker? If the players aren't as important, why are they milking them for cash?

They arent held hostage... Those are an added benefit of the pass. You can still get up to 400 tokens for free without the pass
