Can you make Champ select less toxic?

Alright I'm usually a lurker here on the boards and have never posted before........ please have mercy.

Recently I've been having a lot of fuckery going on in my champ selects. I've wanted to play Yasuo. However someone else on my team wanted top/mid. People in turn ask me for that role and when I politely say no they turn to whatever champion I'm looking to play. This forces me to play a champion I don't have fun on and probably not experienced with which causes the game to be even more unfun for me and probably my teammates who didn't decide to ban that champion. This causes me to be very nervous in champ select. I either don't put the champion I want to play and risk it getting banned, or I put the champion I want to play and risk my teammates banning it to get their role of choice. This is super toxic in my opinion and can cause people to troll. WORRY NOT I HAVE A SUGGESTION.

Why not make it so your teammates can't ban your champion...... OR so that your teammate who wants to play that champion and put it as their champion of choice before it was your turn to ban has to let you ban that champion.... or for people who don't pay attention during champ select you could put a notice like "oh hey btw your teammate wants to play x champ, are you sure you want to ban it?" this change would mean the world to me and would stop me from dodging champ selects as often. Thanks for taking the time to read this and have a wonderful day.

Ranked will always be a tension from start at the champ selection to the very ending, after all this has become a work and Meta is more important than anything else, therefore if you just want to have fun without worries and play however way you want to, be it meta or not, you should play normal matches or ARAM or TT.

The champion selection system already works in a great way for the E$ports as its part of the 'show' therefore I doubt Riot would ever touch anything about it.

I've gotten plenty of normals like what OP is describing, but the addition of a notice that someone else is playing a champ that someone is about to ban would be fantastic. That way you don't get people banning your champ because they didn't take 1.5 seconds to look at the team portraits.

The Issues comes when I can't have fun in NORMALS because of these people. Meanwhile, in ranked I might have some salty adc main who bans rengar/kha'zix (aka my two mains) without looking at our teams I've also had some incredibly toxic players who CHOOSE to ban my champion on purpose just to annoy me or to make it so I would want to switch roles with them. This is the problem I'm addressing. I don't have a care in the world if somebody wants to play AP MF (I'd rather you not tho). However, if someone is picking a non-metachampion they will most likely have a ton of experience on them which beats meta. I'd much rather have a Teemo Top who has 1000 games on Teemo rather than a Yasuo top who has 1 game on that champion. I respect your opinion. However, when things like this are happening in Normals that's when things need to be addressed.

This is one of the most irritating things at the moment. I play a lot of odd champs, AurelionSol Taliyah RekSai , generally things that don't see a lot of play. Its more then likely that unless I'm playing with a premade group that the champ I intend to play gets banned out by my own team because 'its not viable' or 'its useless in the meta.' Which wouldn't be a big issue but it happens so often that I can't dodge the games cause the penalties stack up. At this point I just with that Riot would get ride of the dodge penalties in champ select.

IMO I may just be lucky but I feel like people blow the toxicity of the community out of proportion. I mainly play draft normals which may change this, but I've only ever really had 3 champ select trolls from my memory. One of which was when I hovered Morde ADC and in the rest someone dodged. Hell, the dodge is there for a reason, use it.

That said, I wouldn't mind not being able to ban allied champs, but I can see it being somewhat troll where someone hovers a meta champ and then doesn't pick it. I've also seen some arguments for people who always ban meta champs regardless of whether or not an ally is gonna pick them unless they are first pick because it is too risky. I personally disagree with that playstyle but they have some merit.
