I love losing games because a player never connects!

Nothing makes me want to play this game more than losing some hard-earned LP because someone doesn't connect!

I love how it's so fking easy to fix this by making it so the game doesn't start if a player doesn't connect. Just penalize the person that fails to connect the same as you would if they dodge in queue. WOW. SO FKING EASY TO FIX BUT HELL NO SAYS RIOT. E$ports > a functional game.

LOL GG.

I bet you don't love it as much as the player who can't get in and loses LP or gets restricted for it. They love that shit, and love getting harassed and blamed for it too. Disclaimer: Not saying you are blaming them. It's just that so often, a player has lag or dc issues and people are extremely toxic to them and report when it's unavoidable.

I think -3 LP (to the DC'd) and Loss prevention recorded for the rest if a player is out of the game for maybe 5 of the first ten minutes (non-consecutive) is a pretty reasonable request.

Edit: Doing a Normal or Bot match before you do any Ranked in an individual day is a good idea if you sometimes have lag/dc issues; for checking if you'll likely have issues. Riot could possibly implement this as mandatory for people who frequently DC, having them do one unranked match and not unlocking Ranked until they do a full Unranked with minimal issues. Maybe this sounds unfair to some, but I do this myself so I don't ruin the game for 9 other people.

I don't say anything to them in the game but I always report them afterwards for ruining the experience for me. Even if they were on the other team

So you really are blaming them for an issue that is often Riot's fault and is unavoidable, even though you understand it? Reporting people that quit on purpose is helpful, reporting people that get errors trying to log in is not only unhelpful, it's detrimental to the community.

How am I supposed to know if it's the person's internet having the issue or if it's Riot's fault or if the person queued up and just walked away for whatever reason? In all three scenarios, 9 players have their experience ruined. None of this would matter if they just made the game not start if everyone doesn't connect like I suggested
