Fixed Ranked!

Okay so one of my friends was silver 3 last season and he went 3/7 in his ranked placements 3 wins 7 losses and he got places Bronze 3 I was Bronze 5 and went 5/5 and I got placed BRONZE 5 AGAIN!!! This is so dumb! I am outraged how someone can troll 7 games in a row and get places a higher rank then me! I have gotten out of Bronze 5 but then i drop back down because my friends troll my games! I just really think i deserve at least Bronze 3! I just don't understand why your ranked system is so busted. I understand that I was bronze 5 last season but C'mon I have a better MMR than the my friend ( the one that trolled) and he got placed higher! I just think this needs to be fixed!

Placements are NOT a tool to climb

They are NOT to advance you through the ranks

You were bronze 5 at the end of last season, and he was silver 3 at the end of last season. As such you absoultely do not have a better mmr than him, and it's fairly likely that would even be the case if he went 0/10 in placements and you went 10/0.

Your mmr, while soft reset, is not reset back to a never-played-ranked state, so your previous mmr is still a very big factor in your placements (with most people placing around 1 full tier below where they ended the previous season).

If you feel you're a bronze 3 player, it shouldn't take too long for you to climb over the B5/B4 masses, and indeed you have an entire season to get where you belong. Placements are just a starting point, they're not intended to place you where you ultimately belong, as you're supposed to actually go through the climb and verify that you really do belong at your final rank (as opposed to just getting lucky during placements).

Every season Placements put you lower than your previous ranked tier the season before You were Bronze V last season so you start Bronze V this season because Riot hasn't introduced the Coal division yet.
